Last week I registered a new email address with WDW & priced out a few variables on our trip for next fall & saved the offers. A couple of days ago I received an email from DD that I thought was my first pin (yay!) Now I'm not so sure ... The email says "be sure to mention package code ... ", which made me think it was a pin, but we are looking at October. The email even specifically mentions October but I didn't think pins would be out for next fall already. When I click on "Book Now" the page I go to says "you will not want to miss out on this offer for stays most nights January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2013." However when I get the quote it's exactly the same as the offer I saved last week, no discount. I know when my sister & my friend have real pins they are normally a string of several numbers. This is just 3 characters long (2 numbers with a letter). Is this just a ploy by DD to try to get us to book? ie. make you think you're getting a deal? Am I missing something here? No where does this "package code" offer mention limits on which resort or blacked out dates, or specifics of what the deal is supposed to be.

If they are just giving you a package code, it's probably just the standard rack rate codes for October.

Those long number pins when given to a CM direct them to a package code just like the one they gave you though.

I don't believe there are any specials out yet for October, so probably just hoping to get you onto the website to book.

that's what I thought ... it bugs me that they pretend it's a deal. I guess they snag some people that don't know better.

I have received one of these every single day for the last week and a half and swear that I am about to scream if a real pin for next August doesn't come through soon....ugh!
