We normally eat at CS locations when we take our DD (now 14) to WDW & we'd REALLY like to do a few more non-buffet TS meals when we're there. Unfortunately, she's incredibly picky & usually sticks to pizza, chicken strips & hot dogs while we're there.....It drives me crazy

Do any of you WDW dining experts know if there are any places that won't let a 14 y/o order from a kid's menu???

We may be doing the DDP, but haven't decided as of yet....

Any help would be very much appreciated!

TIA! :wave2:

Pay for kid's meals OOP for your daughter. Use her credits to make extra ADRs.

For example, you can make ADRs at three sit-down restaurants. At the first restaurant, you and your spouse each use 1TS, then pay OOP for a $5 kid's meal for DD. At the second restaurant, do the same thing. At the third restaurant, do the same thing, but now you and your spouse can use the "saved" credits that your DD didn't use earlier.

It would cost you about $15 - $20 OOP on meals for your DD, but you'd get an extra ADR where you and your spouse could get an entire extra meal.

Another option (if your DD has a big appetite) is to use her DDP credits, but order an adult-portion of a child's entree.

People report that this has worked in most restaurants. They order an adult appetizer (which you and your spouse could share if DD doesn't want it), an adult dessert, and an adult-sized portion of the kid's menu entree.

We did exactly what formernyer suggested last summer. We used DS11 credits for an adult sized kids meal. It was our experience at every TS restaraunt that they asked my boys ages (11 & 8) when we checked in at the podium. Every restaraunt allowed him to order off the kids menu but we were told that we would be charged the adult price. We were never given the option of ordering the reg size kids meal or paying the reg kids price OOP. He also had his choice of ANY appetizer and dessert. We ate at LeCellier (Adult menu) Marrakesh (kids menu) Kona Cafe (kids menu) CRT (kids Menu).

I was just about to ask the same question!! It's tough to make dining plans for our group of seven, as one of us is a VERY picky 12 year old. We were thinking they'd let him order off the childrens menu and just pay an adult price. Good to see we won't be the only ones!
