A peek inside the Poly bungalows

We love the design and thought that went into VGF, maybe because GF is Disney's flagship resort and DVC was forced to maintain a higher level of construction and design.

The Poly, BLT, and the SSR, VWL, BCV and BWV refurbs all seem generic, theme lacking and not Disney like IMO.

I really don't know what DVD/DVC is thinking.

Not my style at all and very cheap looking. For the price point I would expect a lot more. That splash pool is ridiculous. What a waste of money on Disney's part to even add that in.

I like it ! love the theme, the deck and the small splash pool are a nice touch.

I was actually less than impressed when compared to the pictures. As you said it doesn't seem as warm as the drawings looked like it would be. Guess they're counting on the view to make the true impression.

The more I see the less I like. I don't see us staying here let alone adding on here. Great for some not for us

The living room doesn't seem as pulled together or inviting as the drawings, but I like the rest a lot.

I know the Poly DVC is not supposed to be Aulani East but the Hawaiiana feel of Aulani would have worked better in my view than this mish-mash of retro 60's and beach theme.

I agree 100% with you, but saying that, I just booked one night at Poly Studios before switching over and meeting my dm and her friend at GFVs for a few nights prior to a cruise. Usually vacation with my family in two bedrooms so this set up will never work and I REALLY wanted to stay at the Poly, be it DVC or regular rooms so
I am VERY excited to go all by myself, relax by the pool, go to a park, eat SOLO. LOVE IT and can't wait.

I love the deck and don't mind the decor. The kitchen looks small to me but it may be the angle. Also, does it have a jacuzzi tub? The bathrooms look nice but the tubs look small. And that splash pool... it's just ridiculous. What do you do in it- sit on the stairs? I guess you are just paying to have your own building and that deck and view. If money wasn't an issue I would stay there but I could think of at least a few other DVC 2 bedroom layouts that I like better.

The deck area reminds me a lot of the CR cabana pool area, but on a smaller scale. It's secluded for sun bathing, enjoying the view, and the lake atmosphere. When you get too hot, jump in the pool to cool off.

Just what everyone wanted, fairly small rooms, cheap looking furniture, a large bucket called a pool that will likley attract a lot dead bugs, and it is yours for only $200,000 a week.

After pretty much nailing the look and theming on the standalone Treehouse Villas I thought they would easily nail the bungalows as well, but not so much. Add this to the loss of the Ceremonial House greenery, the studio-only units in the Long Houses and it seems like a below par effort, especially coming on the heels of GFV.

I have a LV studio booked for September just to try before moving to GFVs. Will I be able to see the Electric Water Parade?

Also, has the PVs opened yet?

Thank you.

2 of the 3 longhouses (Pago Pago & Morrea) and Bungalows open 4/1/15.

Are we able to look at one while out there? The things I love about the bungalows are the deck over the water and maybe the privacy, but not sure about how close they are to each other. I love the feel of the THV's so I am wondering how they compare. As far as the rest of the bungalow, I esp. don't like how few beds they actually have. Half of the beds are pull-outs so I probably wouldn't stay here with more than 4 or 5 people. It also will be interesting to see if there will be a problem with bugs. That may also be a deterrent for me. I guess the biggest deterrent is the amount of points! Heck, I can stay in a VGF grand villa for the same amount of points.
