Screamscape:
This latest bit of news comes from ETC, who we believe to be the hardware provider for Spaces ride system. Theyve expanded the company a bit to add a new website for their ride division (therideworks.com) where you can see a computer animated still of what the ride system pods will look like. Acording to their spec sheets they are calling the system BigMAC and it will feature ten 4-seat cars on each centrifuge. The ride will feature 3 DoF (Degrees of Freedom) movement: Pitch: +40º / -55º, Roll: +/- 25º, and the 360º Planetary movement created by the Centrifuge itself. All of this will allow for the ride to achive Sustained 2.5 Gs. You can also check out the photo gallery on the main ETC page to see photos of the G-LAB, what appears to be a single car version of what they are basing the rides design on as well as the military grade trainers that can create up to 25 Gs.
