A paranoid question about the Vibe from a usually not so paranoid parent

My DD is going to be 14 years old when we go and I an NOT going to let her be able to go and come as she wants on the ship NOT GOING TO HAPPEN lol

I don't see a reason to be any mor worried than yuo would abotu anywhere eles on the ship?? In fact I don't see areason to worry at all. There is NOT a weordo lurking aroud every corner to snatch your kids.

A false sense of security benefits no one.

I am not saying anything is 100% safe. Nothing is, but ships are no more unsafe than anywhere else. Certianly not enough to make me fear for my safety or alter my usual behavior. We can never ever gurantee our kids are 100% safe, and we cannot be with them all the time. Teaching them to be smart and deal with the real world jusr seems like a better idea than hovering all the time an making sure they are never alone. They have to grow up at some point and do it by themselves.

That video showing the "hidden stairway" was kind of creepy. Reminded me of some suspense or horror movie as the camera slowly went up the staircase.

The most interesting part of that video was the song being played in the Vibe. That song is called, "I Invented Sex" by Trey Songs. So as many people are worried about walking their children to and from there are still many of opportunities that kids have to be on their own. The good thing about this post is we are all parents who care and are involved.

Interesting choice of songs..hmmmm...I think we all parent the way we feel comfortable and if someone wants to walk down and meet their kids at 12am it's their choice. And if someone else doesn't, that's their choice. No need to argue on here about it. We all raise kids differently with the same goals at the end...I hope. While Tinkerbells mom may let her walk the mall every Saturday and she's 13....doesn't mean I have to let my Daisy walk the mall...it's your choice. But I don't argue with Tinkerbell's mom....I choose not to let Daisy go...or I go and hang out in the mall too. (of course where I'm not seen and she has a cell phone)

Not necessarily safer than anywhere else either. I wouldn't let my daughters go out at home at night alone, why would I do it on the ship? In fact, I try not to be in deserted areas at 1:00 am by myself either. It's not paranoia, just common sense.
