A.P. Room discounts???

We bought an Annual pass to get a discounted rate on our hotel room at the DL hotel... we only got 10% so far.... we are going the beginning of May.. What are the chances we get more of a discount???? Thanks!

In previous years, not much of a chance. But this year, it's possible. If you're set up with a disneyland.com account and you've added your AP number to it, you can see that they have up to 40% off at the disney hotels through April 30th... That's unusual. So they might continue to extend the good deals.

Luckily you can book something then call later if you see a deal, and put that deal onto what you have. In case you don't know, you will pay a one night deposit when you book, and the rest will be due at checkout.

The trick is you have to ask for a specific discount code, they don't tell you about it. Right now the code is AP8, which got us the DLH for 159 a night. Call and mention that code and see what it does for you.

Yes you can get a better rate applied later.

I know that the AP site right now, for dates through April 30, does not actually specific AP8, but rather than AP holders get up to 40% off rooms through then. When there's a named rate they do state that. Of course, saying AP8 can't hurt, but I'm not 100% that it's the rate going through the end of April right now (not that this helps the OP of course).

I'm going at ths same time too, April 27-May 3 and was planning on buying an AP for a better rate at the GC, as we have two families, and will just need one AP between all of us. I hope there is a named rate coming out soon...otherwise I am also checking expedia, getawaytoday, etc. for rate specials. Keeping my fingers crossed...LOL

I called and booked a room at the GCH for September. I told the person I had an AP so she said oh let me give you the discounted rate then. So it doesn't hurt to ask even if the AP prices aren't published or for the dates you want. I am going to keep watching though and see if any better deals come along inbetween times.

We are there the week of labor day and it was around $300 a night

I've paid $169++ for a view room at DLH (special AP rate) for late August and then again later in Sept. So long as you are not over a holiday weekend, there will most likely be an AP promotional rate.
