A/P and HRH

We'll be staying at the HRH on Friday 6/1 with the A/P discount. We have not activated them yet. Our plans are to check in at the HRH Friday morning before the parks open and activate the passes that morning. Do we need to activate the passes beforehand to get the discount at HRH?

No. Last time I didn't have my renewal activated and they never even asked. I did bring my reciept/voucher to check-in just in case.
