A note of thanks to one and all

I just wanted to say that since reading everyone's posts, my husband has finally agreed that we could use more points. We are planning on buying at BCV since BWV is sold out and we like the location. Before these boards, he had no intention whatsoever of buying any more points. As a matter of fact, it took us five hours to close the deal on BWV. (He's a CPA, checked out everything, and wanted to make sure it was worth the money, we had a guide with the patience of a saint who never once tried to hurry us.) As I conveyed the tone of these boards to him, I made sure to emphasize every single post that said "we need more points, best thing we ever did, no regrets, prices are going up, BWV is sold out, 11 month window is critical, etc." and he started thinking that one week during Choice Season just isn't enough. I don't feel I was putting anything over on him, because no one really has been saying anything negative about the DVC, and believe me, if he didn't think it was a good idea on his own, nothing I could ever say would convince to go into debt to the tune of $20000.
I am so excited, I can hardly stand it. When does everyone think BCV will go on sale? Do you think they will have an actual model open at BCV or will we have to see a rendering at BWV or VWL? When did they complete VWL, and how long before that did they actually go on sale? We were hoping to see something this Nov when we go to BWV for the first time. Eight more long months, but it was 24 when we bought, so progress has been made. I can't wait.

I'm excited for you as you prepare to purchase more points. I'm in that process myself. I've had the best time working through all different scenarios that I'll be able to do once I have the extra points.

You're so right. Reading this discussion board really builds excitement and motivation. How could anyone possibly look negatively at DVC ownership after spending some time reading everyone's perspective?

I caught your post. Even though BWV are sold out through Disney you can still do an add on through resale points.

I doubt you will be able to see anything this year other than the construction equipment! They expect VWL to sell out by the end of the year, so maybe they will set up a BCV unit on the Boardwalk preview center for people to see, but I doubt it would be before next year. BCV isn't supposed to be open until fall 2002 at the earliest.
