We have been to Disney World several times but have always prioritized rides for the kids so we hurry from one to the next. We are going in October for our 25th anniversary and I want to soak it all in, wander and explore each park. What are the things we must see and do in each park if we are NOT doing any rides? I googled the topic but couldn't find anything. Anyone know a site that already has this information? Thank you.

All the shows in all the parks. Or is a show considered a ride?

How about queuing in a queue with lots of experience and then use the chicken exit just before boarding? Tower of terror is one, can you do this before Rise of the Resistance?

I would spend a lot of time in Animal kingdom in general, worldshow case, galaxy's edge, avatar, etc.

Skip rope drop, try the spa, (maybe skip the parks)

Relax,
Enjoy the pools,
Food great places to eat in the parks…

Not including time spent eat I try to do about 2 hours a day “doing park things” and the rest of my time enjoying my vacation….

Also maybe enjoy the water parks

World Showcase has so many amazing nooks and crannies you could spend days there doing nothing but exploring and soaking it in!
Thank you. I am planning 1 whole day just to wander the showcase and admire the buildings and gardens.

In AK, do the Discovery Island Trails. The entrance is just before you cross into Africa from Discovery Island. The Africa and Asia walks are also nice. You could also head out to Rafiki's Planet Watch if you count the train ride as transportation. I also love Pandora in the dark if you're there when the park is open after dark.

My pre-kid trips were definitely more lower key, but I still did rides?

I'd love to see Philharmagic again, I haven't seen that since before I had kids. Hall of Presidents. Ride the rides my kids hate like Pirates, HM and all the coasters.

We will do rides too. I was just looking for what things we have probably missed by focusing on rides in the past. This trip I want to drink more coffee, sit more, observe more, smell the flowers. Just taking a different approach. The rides will be the sometimes, not the all the times.

We had a similar desire, and this past week we essentially did a no parks trip! So if you’re looking for some days where you don’t even go into the parks, a few things we did were:
Visit the Tri Circle D ranch at Ft. Wilderness
Visit Animal Kingdom Lodge - we spent two afternoons here. The kids did the “string of memories” activities, did crafts in the kids club, watched animals on the Savannah.
We did a scavenger hunt around our resort, many hotels have something like this.
Other hotel activities: s’mores, movies on the lawn, evening pool parties.
Ride the monorail and visit the different hotels.

Ride the WDWRR around the park. Getting off at each land to peruse shops/get a snack: optional.

Definitely monorail hop to the loop resorts.

Hadn't even thought about the WDWRR. Love this idea, thank you!

My best friend and I took a trip in 2016, it was our first trip without nieces and nephews and it was such a different experience. I loved walking around all the worlds in Epcot, there is so much to see. I took all the trails in AK and took my time. I did the monorail loop and also the monorail to Epcot. You can explore all the resorts and I also enjoy grabbing a snack and just sitting on a bench. I love the parks at night, and it's less crowded, so I enjoy walking around and closing out the parks. And I'm so excited for the WDWRR to be back!

Don't forget the street entertainment. Disney has cut way back, but there is still some.
