Question for people:
it's fall, we have a bunch going on on weekends, (and weekdays) how do you moderte training with other activities. for example, I did a backpacking trip over the weekend with scouts and clearly it didn't fulfill my scheduled 9 miles easy but would you swap that in for a 3 mile easy base run? it was longer and weighted but not as aerobic.
anyway, I ended up doing the long run yesterday afternoon and felt great. 10k pr on what was an "easy" run. ran up hill to home at end when I often walk that.
