A Night out...What do you suggest?

My wife and I are 30 & 28 years old. We have two young kids (ages 5 & 4) and my dad is coming to stay for a couple of nights and has offered to take the kids 1 night so we can have an adult night. We both enjoy drinks and whatever. We have been to Disney about 8 times in 4 years but we have always had the kids (to be honest we do not like to ever leave them with anyone).

We have never done anything on our own and to be honest I have no idea where to go or what to do for Adult fun.

We would love to have some drinks maybe see some entertainment or even dance at a club. I just have no clue.

Can I get some advice on what are the good spots or what would be a good night for us.

thanks for your help.

Well, my husband and I cannot go to Disney without a night at Victoria & Alberts. There is not more intimate, delicious, extravagant, and 'adult' place on property. However, as a meal there is very expensive and constitutes an entire evening in itself, it may not be what you're looking for. My second suggestion would be dinner at the California Grill followed by a night at a Pleasure Island hot-spot. My choice would be the Adventurer's Club.

Jellyrolls is a lot of fun. It's deuling pianos where both are playing one well-known song after another, where everyone knows the words, and the entire crowd sings along. Can be very funny too.

Of course the number one place for adults at Disney is Pleasure Island. For $21.95 you get access to all the night clubs/bars and can go in and out of them all night, carrying your drink with you. Whether you like rock & roll, Top 40, techno, 70's disco/80's or hip hop one of the clubs is playing it. It's quite a unique evening. In addition, there is a comedy club and the previously mentioned Adventurer's Club, included with your pass. There are a good number of restaurants in Downtown Disney so have dinner, browse the shops and then head to PI around 9pm and get started. There are bus connections from all Disney resorts so you don't have to worry about driving back intoxicated. (It does help though to remember which hotel you're staying at!!) I think OKW may even be connected now to PI via water taxi.

I would definitely second Jellyrolls...actually the entire Boardwalk area would be nice!

Check out the Atlantic Dance Hall too!

DITTO!!

DH & I always make sure to have dinner at House of Blues or Bongo's in Downtown Disney's Westside and then head to PI for a night of comedy & fun. We typically stop at the Comedy Club for a set and then head over to the Adventurers Club, we always have a blast! And if you stay at Port Orleans they also have a boat that brings you to Downtown Disney, it's very romantic in the evening.

Have fun whatever you decide to do!

I think it's the best bang for the buck - a mere $10! Jellyrolls is a 21 & over dueling piano bar with 2 sets of piano players each night. They take requests and know a huge variety of songs - always been a great time for me!!

HTH!!! :upsidedow

Ditto on Jellyrolls. We planned on going to a few different places on the boardwalk and hitting pleasure island later on our night out. We liked it with the dueling pianos so much we stayed for 5 hours! Totally unplanned but completely worth it. Already planning it for our next trip.

Here's what I would do.

Head to Epcot on an EMH night and make dinner reservations for Bistro de Paris two hours before Illuminations.

After a fabulous dinner, I would grab a drink in France and watch Illuminations. Then take an extremely long (time wise) walk around the World Showcase, stopping for drinks when needed. When you get back around walk out the World Showcase Exit and head to the Boardwalk for the remainder of the evening.

Fun, fun, fun.

Hi...Fonzy 13 sounds like great plan...Pleasure Island is busy loud and crowded...and if that is what sounds like fun, then go for....
Fonzies is more laid back, but really excellent!!!
