OK, my doctor diagnosed me with Bronchitis on Monday and gave me cough syrup and an antibiotic. Still feel horrible so by Saturday morning I'm calling the doctor covering for him who prescribes and inhaler with the directive to go to the ER if no better in 2 hours. Now, with all the SARS going around, its hard not to get nervous. In my head I 'm pretty sure I haven't been around anyone who has been in any of the countries they warn about...but deep down I've been wondering "what if?. So, DH drags the kids and myself to the ER at 6:30 last night. I get the whole she-bang...breathing treatments, X-ray, blood counts, blood cultures, and an IV antibiotic.No, its not SARS, you have a very bad Pnumonia. Give me more antibiotics, prednizone(sp), and a nebulizer for breathing treatments at home. By the time we're back home, its midnight and time for another breathing treatment...and now, because of the medication, I'm bouncing off the walls:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: . Finally fall asleep at 1:00, wake up at 6 or is it 5...or wait 7??? I don't know, but time for another treatment and my heart is racing and I'm wide awake again. This stuff makes me all shaky and I'm not sure I like it.
Sorry for the long post...guess I'm just looking for some sympathy...everyone else is still sleeping here after a long night.
Hope everyone has a good day, it looks beautiful out up here in NH.

sorry to hear youre not feeling well. Hope you feel better soon. Glad to hear it's not SARS

Oh wow, Kathy. SO sorry to hear that you are so sick right now :( I hope that your new medicine will help you fight your pnuemonia quickly {{{hugs}}}

{{{{{HUGS}}}} to you. Sure hope you are feeling better very soon!:D

I'm sorry you're not feeling well, and you DO have my sympathy!

((((hugs)))) Dizzy

Sorry to hear about your rough night. Hope you adjust to the medicine soon and can get some sleep. It seems like any medication that has to do with breathing makes me jittery too.

I hope it's easier for you to breathe this morning. I never even thought about SARS! That would be a scary thought. I hope you feel better soon! :)

Sorry you're not feeling well and the meds make you bounce off the wall. :rolleyes: I hate when they do that. I hope you're feeling better soon!
