A newbie's reaction to WDW*DINING PLAN REVIEWS* pg. 4

did your older son enjoy this show? My "PITA" daughter (10) thought it was 'boring and for kids'. My son (5) LOVED it. I agree with you though----the food was VERY mediocre for a 2-credit dinner.

Yes, he really did. He thought the jokes were funny. My 6 year old didn't "get" the jokes the way my 10 year old did. I think she liked the activity and the singing and dancing, but she didn't appreciate the corny humor the way my 10 year old did. My 8 year old (boy) seemed to enjoy it, although he's pretty easy and just goes with the flow. I think my 10 year old liked it the best out of the 3 kids though. HOWEVER my 10 year old is completely girl crazy already (I'm in trouble) and I think he enjoyed all of the "couples" and stuff. Funny how they're all different.

I especially enjoyed the fact that you spell your name "DENA" as that is the name of our DD (17). While we spell her name the same way as you, we have found relatively few "Dena"s and more "Deena"s or "Dina"s.

Nobody EVER spells my name right so I know where you're coming from. Or people call me "denna"...which drives me crazy. I used to hate my name when I was little because I could never get the cute barrettes with my name on them or the pencils or anything like that. Isn't that sad? I felt so left out. Now I like it though. I like knowing that if I hear "Dena!!" across a crowded room, it's almost certainly directed at me (so I can choose to turn around or duck out the closest exit). :rotfl: I like having an uncommon name now. Hopefully my son will like it too (Brayden). LOL!

Great trip report! We going for the first time in November. :) Glad you had a nice trip despite the bouts of bad karma. I worry about that too!

Enjoyed your trip report! Glad to see everyone got back save and sound.

Very fun trip report! So neat to read through the eyes of a newbie as it's been a long time since I qualify as one. I totally love how practical you are and hey, I have cried at MK before because none of my loopy kids would ride Pooh with me.

I enjoyed your trip report and really like the photos! Great camera! The pic of your daughter and your husband with him wearing the tiara is precious. :)

My sons and I loved our dinner (son's 13th Bday celebration) at the Coral Reef- we thought the food was excellent - but I found it mind numbingly loud as well.

Thanks for sharing.

It's so nice to hear that someone else has a crying meltdown at Disney. It seems it happens to us once on every single trip. My son cries ... my husband yells at him .... I yell at my husband ... he gives me a dirty look ... I start crying ... everyone feels bad ... on lookers stare and judge ... no one talks to each other for at least 10 minutes :guilty: ... eventually we all make up.

Last time we were there it happened in the beggining and then everone was fine ... maybe we just had to get it out of our systems. Now we look at it as a family tradition ... if we can't change it, might as well embrace it. :)

By the way, I really enjoyed your trip report.

What a beautful family you have! You kids look like happy ones! And they sure had a grand time on their trip! They're smiling in every picture :)

We had one of those Dad's Sundae's at 50's Prime Time. I can't believe PITA ate it all! We had four people working on it and we didn't finish it (but we also had a plate of s'mores).

Thanks for posting!
