A Newbie Question!

Does anyone know why when we tried booking reservations April 30 - May 4th why some of the CM's who answer the phones tell 1 person they are booked (Disney Grand Californian) and when I called not even 5 minutes after they have plenty of rooms available??? Spring Break is nowhere near the date, so I am kind of confused! great website you all have here, ALOT of info!!

Not sure if one person just can't understand the reservation program or what. Same thing seems to happen with dining reservations.
