Just came across this, havent had the energy to read it yet. I figured some may want to read it. At the least they are good for a laugh or a rise of the blood pressure.

*EDIT*
Wow I decided to read it and its civil and puts Universal in a great light! woohoo I know, I know, its still early plenty of time for it to get ugly. I do hope it does not.

I read through it last night and was pleasantly surprised! :) So far, it was a very decent thread with honest opinions.

it is way too soon to tell ...

you know it is going to go south in about 3 more pages.
the bashing will soon start and it will be closed, never fails.

it starts out tame and it will take only one post with someone to "me too" it for the flames to start.

Great thread, very positive so far. Just proves that the parents are brainwashed into returning to Disney, then they try Universal for a day, and find a whole new world.
Think about it, Disney has a built in marketing machine because babies grow up in Disney rooms. Visit any baby store, or walk into a room of someone who just had a baby and what will you find everywhere? Disney stuff.
How much Universal stuff do you find in these baby rooms? Maybe a toy or two, but most of the stuff is Disney.

So the parents start out there, and keep going back brainwashed. If Universal really wants to bring fans over, they have to get parents to buy Universal stuff for the babies and have them grow up with it.

I don't understand why people feel the need to debate this. I like both, for different reasons. Enough said. I don't feel the need to choose.:confused3

I agree. I love both for different reasons

:offtopic: momof3disneyholics ~ I love your picture in your signature. Where did you find it? I need something like that to hang in my office.

Great story about the magnet. The problem with little kids, is they have no idea how much work goes into the trips and things parents do. They don't sit in a cube from 8am - 5pm every day. That's why I'm always amazed at people who take their kids to Disney year after year, or to Discovery Cove, when the little ones won't even remember it years later. They might remember some of it, but they'll have plenty of time to visit when they grow up.

just finished reading the thread. it has not gone down the loo.... yet.

Yes, they may not remember it years later, but I think everything experience you give a child will affect them, whether it is good or bad. All of these things mold a child, IMO.
It just frustrates me that they don't realize until years later how much work actually goes into all the things you give them. I know I never realized it until I became a parent.
