A New Things I Learned While On Board Disney Fantansy

Our family came back from our wonderful vacation on Disney Fantasy last Saturday. My older daughter loves it so much that she is willing to give up Paris last summer for another go. LOL

Even after all the research, there were a few things I learned and would like to share:

1. All Print Package: I pre-ordered the digital package and decided to upgrade to All Print Package while on broad. The quality of the photo paper is better than what I can get at home and I just didn't want to deal with the print sizes, so I paid the $100. With the print package, you do get all the print even the ones they didn't print out. All you have to do is to order the missing prints from the kiosk. You will sign for the price amount, but it is free of charge when you pick up the USB and the rest of the prints. I did that for Aqua Duck and Castaway.

2. Rain Forest Day Pass: I didn't realize the salt scrub is not part of the pre-order day pass. If you buy the day pass there, you get a cup with salt scrub of your choice (lavender, vanilla and something else). With a pre-order pass, the Spa charges $9 for the scrub.

3. Bar Classes: If the class you wanted is full, you can go on before the start of the class and see if there is any no shows or if they can squeeze in extra spots.

4. Kids' Club registration: If you didn't register/pick up Magic Band at the Port Check In (long long line), you can either do it in the club (lines) or use the counter by the Port Adventure (no line)

5. On Shore Liquor Pick Up time: The time for pick up is not listed anywhere. It is 7am ish.

6. Cabana is open on the last morning: That's what my server told me.

7. Mango at Breakfast: You can request mangoes at the Fruit Station in Cabana during breakfast.

8. $4 Bellini at Palo Brunch: I knew that, but I didn't it is made with real peach puree--so yummy.

9. Allergy Friendly Desserts at Cabana: My baby has multiple food allergies. Milk and Egg allergies pretty much removed her from the dessert station at Cabana. The server will suggest the fruit cups, but they do have Rice Dream Vanilla and Hagen Daaz Raspberry Sorbet. Just make sure the server use new gloves and a clean spoon.

That's it for now.

Thanks for the information. I'm a big fan of Cabanas on the last morning. :thumbsup2

#5. Liquor pick up on the last day. Not only wasn't it clear when this began, many people didn't see the table, which was in the main lobby to the right of the way off the ship. Several people on the ship, once they realized where it was, suggested that they needed a big sign or something. A few people I saw actually got off the ship, headed to their luggage and said, "OK where to I get my alcohol?" They had to get permission to reboard the ship.

Personally, I managed to misplace my receipt, but since I knew my last name and stateroom and how many bottles it was, they gave it to me. I think they checked my KTTW card too.

Regarding the $4 Bellinis, didn't you each used to get one included in the price of the brunch, is that still true?

A Mimosa or Prosecco is included. The server didn't offer the Bellini or the Bloody Mary. Those are listed on the menu with prices.

My sailing was the last sailing for the Staff team and the entertainers. DISers from September sailings will have the most updated info.

The entire Cruise Staff team does not leave at the same time, they stagger their vacations so that they don't have more than one new Cruise Staff team member in a two week period. Just so we are speaking of the same thing, the Cruise Staff team works for the Cruise Director running all of the family and adult activities on board, such as trivia, karaoke, bingo, dance parties, etc., and they usually wear red and blue striped shirts.

How and when did you pre-order your rainforest pass? Was it the same price pre-ordered as it was in person minus the scrub? That would stink if so.

True about cruise staff.

BUT the entertainment team (i.e.: the performers/characters) DOES go on and off as a group, and the Fantasy did just have a changeover of the entertainment team. (Incidentally as did the Dream.)

On the Aug 19th Fantasy we were given a choice of Bellini at Palo Brunch. DH and I both took that option.

Yes cabanas is a lot better for breakfast your last morning.

You can also request strawberries. Probably other fruit also they have you can request that they don't keep out.

Agree! A lot less hectic and a lot less sad faces LOL. We haven't gone to the MDR for last morning breakfast in years. The last two cruises we went to Cabana and got our breakfast early (6 a.m.), brought it back to the room and ate while we got ready. So relaxing and a last chance to enjoy our verandah.

Beth, I was aware about the Entertainment team switch over, but as my post indicated, I was only talking about Cruise Staff team.

Gotcha.

Just clarification for others who might not know. :)

I pre-ordered by calling the Disney Cruise Gift Hotline maybe a month or so before the sailing. You can also fax over the form. I'm not sure if you can purchase the day pass without the scrub on the cruise. I pre-ordered because I read it somewhere that the Spa may not have the day pass option if they sold enough week passes.

Thank you for the clarification. They were many Character Escorts with "Earning My Ears" on the ships and I heard a few of them saying that they are leaving the ship. I just put the two together.

The character escorts are part of the entertainment team, not the Cruise Staff team. Some times it is hard to tell, because there will be events that have both Cruise Staff and entertainment team members participating.
