Now that I am a new member - YIPPPPEEEE - sorry - are there discounts available to DVC members?

Also, I am familiar with the Disney Dining Plan - we've used it on prior vacations but what is the DDE?

Note that recently the DDE (Disney Dinining Experience) card has been renamed the TIW (Tables in Wonderland) card.

As Duckfan said, it is only available to Annual Passholders or Florida Residents. If you don't ravel to Disney enough to warrant the purchase of at least one AP for someone in your family, then TIW/DDE is not available to you.

But with the $100 DVC Annual Pass discount - it is a great excuse to visit the World twice within the calendar year. And then once you have the Annual Pass and the airlines have a sale - you can call DVC and stay at SSR or OKW and experience it 3 times in one year. WELCOME HOME!

I like your thinking!

I just used my pass 4 times this year. Purchased my annual pass on 12/6/07 for a 9 day Christmastime jaunt in 2007, booked a studio at SSR in April when my sis, who is a school teacher. had a spring break different than most schools and took her son my 4 year nephew, booked another trip at Pop Century in September when they offered free dining, and then went back the Friday after Thanksgiving for another 9 day Christmastime vacation. I definitely got my monies worth out of the annual pass and also purchased the DDE card and got 20% off several dinners when we weren't using the DDP. Have fun planning.
