A new magic band every time?

We have a big trip planned in September. My oldest son and I might do a quick trip in July. Both times we are staying on Disney property. Does that mean he and I will get two sets of magic bands, one for July and one new one for September? Or do we only get one new one in July that we will then use again in September? Thanks in advance. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mommies!

You should get two - one for each trip.

Every resort reservation gets magic bands.
You can decline the ones for you and your son for the September trip but my thought is why?
They may be "complimentary" but you're paying for them in the high price of the hotel so why not have multiple?
I kind of collect them as a souvenir.

The ones you get in July will also still work in September so you can get a different color and switch back and forth!
