Bottom line: There appear to be two types of people who received the discount without the PIN.
Group A: Called & honestly stated they didn't receive it but read/heard of it and wanted to know if they could use it. Worked for some but not others, probably depending on the CM.
Group B: Called and used the "I accidentally threw it away", "I left it at home" type approach. Again worked for some, but by no means all.
Some people have a problem with both groups, some only with Group B, and some neither. Whatever - to each their own. As for me, I was Group A but struck out. I have no problem with the successful Group A people.... I'm not too excited about the successful Group B folks.

I know that my family is not eligible, since this is our first trip to WDW and my DH called just to see if there was any discounted rates on rooms at the times we are travelling and was told "no".
The PIN Code Horse never had a chance......lol
