A naive question about FP+ angst

Texas is in the middle. Like, right in the middle. Smack dab in the middle.

But it was my idea. :p

Remember though, the new park focuses on dependable once a year visitors. So you'll be fine coming to visit. We have nice weather for about 2 weeks in the fall and 10 days in the spring. Choose wisely.

I'll give you credit for the idea. Although there have been rumors for years that Disney was buying large parcels of land in central Texas. But those were just rumors.

There was also a rumor a while back that they were buying land near Branson.

Who are we kidding....... ANYTHING has to be closer than what I have now.

Texas, D.C., or Missouri? Missouri, all the way. ::yes::

:rotfl:

Actually, the last time we were there it was lovely -- in the 70s nearly every day. :beach:

Mind you, that was Branson in the middle of January, and a few weeks later a tornado came through.

YIKES! Remind me not to move to that state.

Oops.......

St. Louis gets the runner up vote from me. My son's school is about an hour away, so he might get to see me a LOT more. :teeth:

I bet he knows how to work a lunch line at that college. :rotfl:

Rumor is they cook better than his mom. But that isn't setting the bar very high. He didn't pick up his freshman 15 yet though.

Oh..... and I'm still against FP+. ;)

I'm still against it too but I forgot to put that. My mind hasn't been changed since 7:48 pm tonight.:)

Pulling multiple FP- was really quite easy as other posters said and since you need to return within a certain time frame, I never held more than like 5 at once and rarely returned after my window.

I think the most upsetting thing about FP+ is that Disney is telling me how many FPs I can have. It's my vacation, I really don't think Disney should be telling me how much of anything I should have. If I know how to pull multiple FPs on FP- I should be able to do so. FP- also, as others said, allowed for variables, like wait times, where you are and when you are there. FP+ tries to make you plan where you're going to be 2 months in advance. And as others said, FP- worked for commando style tourers or more laid back people who don't ride tons of rides.

You think your vacation should trump others vacations!?:confused3

Their park and their rules. Just like for house and your rules.

You don't like the rules, then don't visit.

You could not always have 5 and still return for all in your windows. Two , by pulling another before going on the ride or after two hours, plus a disconnected ones would not happen all day long. How many times did you need to see Mickey in a single day?

FP- did *NOT* always work for more laid back people or those who didn't want to do RD. As I've said in another thread, I could not get on Toy Story Mania a couple trips because all the FPs were gone and the standby line was insane.

While there are kinks to work out, I'd say this system is more in the middle.. it brings those with tons down and those who lost out up.

While it is your vacation, you are going somewhere that has rules. We all pay for our vacations and work hard for them. I just don't think entitlement applies regardless.

Wow, just wow. Seven months later and this is still being spouted? You'd think some of these posters would realize that this has, more than likely, already been said ad nauseum, and post something a little more helpful to the board.

Yes, you could have up to 8 FP's and make all the rides you wanted. Many people have done it, some even more so. Just because YOU didn't do it that way, doesn't mean that it wasn't possible. :)

Like the "I hate FP+" crowd has added anything new in the past 7 months. My favorites are the one who have never even used it.:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I also love the "I am never going to WDW again" posts.

You could not hold up to 8 FPs when they were enforcing return times. That is an absolute untruth. To have 8 you had to have hoarded FPs. So even before FP+, you were being limited on FPs.

FP- gave you the same opportunity as anyone else.

Or were there people blocking the entrance to the FP kiosks? I hate when that happens.

I've never said I held 8 FPs at one time but I did pull 9 at MK in June throughout the day and none of those were the disconnected FPs. I started in the morning and there was still FPs available until late afternoon/early evening before I saw anything run out. That was an 8 or 9 crowd day. We also rode 20 around rides that day.

How about the ones that run others down, shove them out of the way and step on them to beat them to the kiosks?
