A Mouse, Two Little Minnows who wear out Grumpy and Test Track Moves to Naples 11/26

Great updates! I'm not a big fan of Animal Kingdom either, it's my least favorite park, but I'm trying to appreciate it more! I love the FOTLK pics, I'm glad you guys liked it! I haven't seen it and I'm hoping to see it in November!:cool1:

Love the hat pictures!

And it sounds like you guys had a great time with your Dismeet!

Wow, Kathy...you've been busy with the updates. Wish I was ever going to go at the same time of year as you. Nice pics of Camp Minnie Mickey. We didnt do that last year, but I have a feeling we'll be checking it out this year!

Evening Kathyn!! Just home from adouble day !!!Pretty tired !!I have to work tomorrow for a few hours , have about 16 hurs worth of work though !!!:rotfl2:

After Bug, we walked over to Dinosaur and I rode it by myself (I really like this ride).

DSC01142.jpg

OMG, Kathy! You are one brave girl to ride Dinosaur by yourself!
The one (and only) time I rode the ride was back in '04. I was in my mid-20's at the time--the ride scared the bejeezus :scared1:out of my 13 year old cousin and I. I still remember coming out of that ride shaking; and I don't ever see myself going back on it. Those dinosaurs are scary real!:scared: and so close! I will leave that one for the hubby to do

Love the AK & your awesome pics. Lanie was on my lap while we were reading it and she said, "Animals so pretty, mama. I looove elephants!" Nice work!:thumbsup2
Our trip is too short this time to do it, but one of these days I'm gonna get myself to Boma and have some of that juice that everyone raves about. Those desserts did not look appealing to me, either but they were a nice sentiment:wizard: Thanks for the update. Enjoy your weekend!

This is why there was no U P D A T E. I had to drop Romeo off and then pick him up (it really stinks only having one car). He was out making money for the Nicki fund:

I can now go and work on an update. :)

Ooh I like that, the Nicki Fund, has a nice ring to it! Romeo looks adorable!

A certain person who will remain nameless yet again was hounding me about an update...so I thought I'd give her several. :lmao::lmao:

Hey, ask and you shall receive right? :rotfl: You just needed me to light a fire under your tush :rotfl2:

The Lion King thing looks awesome and your pics of AK are making me sad that we decided to skip it next month so I re-arranged my Boma breakfast, moved it to super early and then spend the entire day at AK, well until 3pm at least, and then we are hitting the road home.

The pictures came out awesome, you are doing the best job ever. I have an idea, why dont you come with us next month and you can be our designated picture taker?

Kathy - you have a very wise friend here. First, Disney for a month and now this!!

thanks to your handy links, I am caught up!! So much to comment on that I have forgotten half of it :rolleyes1

It's so good to stroll CSR again through your pics :thumbsup2

Love that you had a nice morning at DHS and you got to do animation academy.

sounds like lots of fun dismeets!

My son loved your pictures from MNSSHP and wants to know when we are going (I wish I had an answer to that question!) he is also enjoying the hats

FOTLK is such a great show! Love those tumble monkeys :lovestruc

Love the updates with the pics! I think we miss way too many characters when we are in a rush to get to the rides. I have never seen thumper's "friend" Great pic!

I love that Mark is so silly. My dh is not an extrovert. He would never be goofy and try on hats. He does like Disney even though he scoffs at me when I show such enthusiasm. I really think he is conflicted about it. I think he would LIKE to be goofy and try on hats, but really I think he THINKS he shouldn't. :upsidedow

If you can't be silly at Disney, I don't know where you can be. I'm sure if you tried putting a hat on your hubby he'd get into it as well. You still have a young one, so the rides are important. Now that we travel without the kids, it is easier to stop and "smell the roses."

So glad you got to see FOTLK! They talent in that is so amazing! Can't wait to hear about EMH at MK!

Yes, the talent was spectacular.

FofLk is one of my favorites too! I love all the food pix-they are making me hungry!!!! Waiting for morepopcorn::

Hopefully, I'll get an update done tomorrow (have to work on that CSR thread first).

OMG ........ I need to work during the week and don't get much online time and here I am having just spent 90 minutes catching up on your trip report! :lmao:

Needless to say, I LOVE all the updates and photos - one day we need to meet you at WDW, the hat photos we will get of Mark and Tom will be hilarious!

Karin, if we got the two of them together, they might hire them to "model" the hats. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

You're posting updates like crazy...I can't keep up!

Love all of the Animal Kingdom photos!

Thanks, Glen. I'm slowing down now. ;)

Such great updates. Will have to show the girls. They still talk about you guys all the time. I really hope that we will be there at the same time again. If you are going to be there all of the Oct next year that will work for us :)

Thanks, Mary. Tell the girls that I hope to get up our night at the MK with them tomorrow, including pics. We talk about them too because we had such a good time with them and hope we can do it again.

See, I like Animal Kingdom better than DHS and AK has each year become a little better to me for touring. I just wish they'd add a couple of more attractions. You MUST see FOTLK--it is awesome.

Wow, Kathy...you've been busy with the updates. Wish I was ever going to go at the same time of year as you. Nice pics of Camp Minnie Mickey. We didnt do that last year, but I have a feeling we'll be checking it out this year!

Max will love Camp Minnie Mickey...be sure it is on the top of your list. :goodvibes

I love Dinosaur and it has never scared me (although it scared the pants off Andy's old girlfriend...and so did It's Tough to Be a Bug).

Hope you are aving a great weekend.

Yeah, you changed your plans and are going to AK! And you know that I'll do just about anything you ask.

Yes, I'll come with you next month and be your designated picture taker. Now, just have to find a flight, etc., etc.

Kathy - you have a very wise friend here. First, Disney for a month and now this!!

Isn't Nicki smart? I love her ideas.

Hi, Katie. Thank you for joining...it's good to have you here. We had a great number of wonderful DIS meets and can't wait to do more next year.

I'm glad your son enjoyed the MNSSHP pictures. It was one of the highlights of the trip.

Mornin' Kathy !!! It's quiet around here as Marv isn't around:rotfl2:

Yeah, where has Marv been?????

I just came in from getting the mail and we got a letter in the mail from Princess Juliana (that's nice's daughter). We had sent her a little bag of goodies from our trip last month and this is what she sent to us:

This next one is Mark's favorite because Dory and Nemo are on it:

And last, but not least:

Ana, I am proudly wearing the bands on my wrist. Thank you so much.:hug:

I was lucky enough to get a little gift from Princess Juliana too. LOVED THAT!!

So fun to be so honored, isn't it??

I love and look forward each night to read your TR (you don't rattle on). I love the details and I do love the resort thread you have put together b/c of you that made me feel comfortable to moving to CSR.
Anyway, where was Mrs. Bunny located (was she in front of camp Mickey)?

Thank you for the kind words. Miss Bunny was outside once we left the theater to see Festival of the Lion King and walked down the ramp before we got to Camp Minnie Mickey.

Thanks, Rosie. I saw on another thread that you've started packing and shopping for those incidentals...good for you!

Yes I got toothbrushes and razors !! Now you have to realise that most of them would be quite happy to forget their toothbrushes :lmao:They do a fine job of pretending to brush their teeth:lmao:and do so without getting the brush wet!!!:rotfl2:Dump mouthwash down the toilet you name it !!!!Sooo this is a very wise precaution !!!!:thumbsup2

So when I last left you, we had just left the two "minnows" at the pool so we could go to our room and shower and get ready for dinner and another DIS meet and a night at the MK for Extra Magic Hours with those two "minnows."

Mark and I decided to just eat at the Pepper Market at the resort becasue we had not eaten there last year.

DSC01161.jpg

Mark and I both had the rotisserie Chicken with grilled vegetables and french fries and a diet coke. It was very tasty--nice and moist.

DSC01159.jpg

DSC01160.jpg

For dessert, I had a really delicious piece of chocolate mousse cake which was out of this world:

DSC01162.jpg

Mark had this, but neither one of us can remember what it was called. He said it was "only okay".

DSC01163.jpg

From there, we waited out in front of El Centro for our visit with our next set of DIS friends, Ohiodisneylover -- Joe and Sophia. I met Sophia over the DIS over a year ago and I just fell in lover with her. Such a warm and caring soul.
They were running a few minutes late, but we waited for them and greeted them with hugs and smiles. We headed over to the Laguna Bar to sit and have a drink together before their dinner at the Maya Grill and our going to the MK for EMH's with the "minnows".

bytheblood7.jpg

We sat at the bar and had some drinks and talked as if we had known each other forever. Mark and Joe hit it off, and Sophia and I carried on our DIS friendship. Before we parted ways, we got a group picture:

DSC01166.jpg

Joe and Sophia, thank you so much for sharing part of our vacation with us...we thoroughly enjoyed meeting both of you and will consider you friends for life.

So after our drinks with Joe and Sophia and the rest of their family, we met Mary, Avery and Cayley outside of the Pepper Market where they were finishing up dinner. Mary, Mark and I visited while the kids finished eating. Once the girls were done eating and ready to go, we loaded up the car with the stroller and what seemed to be all of Mary's luggage (sorry, Mary...I couldn't resist), and drove over to the Magic Kingdom.

We parked the car, got onto the tram and waited for the monorail to take us to our evening of fun. Mary took this picture of us with the girls while we waited for the monorail:

cutegirls.jpg

Up next, two "minnows" wear out Grumpy.

So we got through the bag check line, through the turnstyle with the stroller, the girls and all of us and we were ready to start our adventures.

First up, a picture of Avery and Cayley outside by the Halloween decorations:

DSC01167.jpg

So where we were headed first? Well, we got there a little while before Wishes was going to start, so we wanted to get a spot. So we found a favorite spot of Mark's and my behind the Christmas shop where there are no trees blocking the views. So we parked the girls and left them with Mark while Mary and I ran to visit the ladies room and get the girls some popcorn. We still had a little bit of time before Wishes started, and the girls got their glo toys ready and we all eagerly anticipated the start of Wishes. I didn't get any pictures of Wishes because we had the girls standing up by the rail and holding on to them while Mary was taking pictures.

So what ride would we go to first? Well, I had been promised by a certain Miss Cayley that she was going to ride....

IMG_2565.jpg

....and she was going to scream really loud. So that is where we headed and Cayley and I tried to outdo each other with our screaming.

From there, it was time to find some ghosts and see if they'd try to leave with us. So Miss Cayley, Mr. Mark and I got in our dune buggy while Avery and Mary got in behind us.

We then headed toward Fantasyland and our destination was Mickey's Philharmagic.

DSC01370.jpg

I just love this how and could watch it for hours. I think I had Cayley on my lap so that she could see and we all enjoyed the show.

DSC01376.jpg

After that, we need to find some Hunny and headed over to Winnie-the-Pooh. It seems we were in that line FOREVER (we had passed Snow White on the way and the line was unbelievably long; Mary and I kept saying to each other, "what are all these people doing here? Shouldn't all these kids be back at the resort sleepig?" I want to say we were in the Pooh line a good 25 minutes (I think they had a problem with one of the handicapped cars or someone got ill). So we finally got in our "Hunny Pot" and off we went:

IMG_2263.jpg

We then went to Snow White and saw a third princess (we already had two with us):

IMG_2271.jpg

IMG_2276.jpg

Mark, Mary and Cayley then went to ride the Carrousel. Avery decided she didn't want to ride so she and I hung out together and talked about school and stuff. From there, it was off to Tomorrowland. Avery REALLY wanted to ride Space Mountain with her Mom and I and that was our destination. Mary checked her phone and it said it was only a 20 minute wait. However, when we got there it was more like a 50 minute wait and we decided to skip it or see if it eased up in a little bit.

So we went and did Buzz Lightyear and then decided it was time for an ice cream break:

DSC01169.jpg

DSC01168.jpg

It was then time for the Tomorrowland People Mover and someone was getting very sleepy (not mentioning any names, Avery ;)).

DSC01171.jpg

We decided after this that we were all getting really tired as it had been a long day at the pool, the fireworks and the attractions we were able to do. So we headed to the front and by this time, Avery was totally wiped out and I carried her to the tram as she had completely fallen asleep on the monorail.

We drove Mary and the girls to the Casitas and gave the girls kisses and hugs and told them how much fun we had with them and we hoped they enjoyed the rest of their vacation.

I don't remember if I checked my email or if we just went to bed because those two adorable "minnows" had really worn us out. But we weren't complaining because we had a really grand time (just not used to touring Disney with little ones anymore).
