A Mouse, Two Little Minnows who wear out Grumpy and Test Track Moves to Naples 11/26

Great AKL pictures. I totally agree with you that it is one of the only deluxe resorts I really want to stay in, but I think we'll wait until Max would really appreciate it (and we can really afford it! :lmao:). We had a great breakfast at Boma last year and are going for dinner this year!

This is why there was no U P D A T E. I had to drop Romeo off and then pick him up (it really stinks only having one car). He was out making money for the Nicki fund:

I can now go and work on an update. :)

:yay: for Boma! I've eaten the equivalent of 15 dinners there over 5 visits (I'm talking 5 ADRs, not 5 WDW trips), but have never made it for breakfast.

I could eat Boma breakfast every morning...you ought to try it.

I like that AKL is one of the cheaper deluxes; but with wanting savannah view, it goes up quite a bit.

I love your updates and enjoying reading them. That is awesome you got pictures with the 7 Drawfs...we did not get a chance when we went to the Halloween party but I'm so happy that they will be on the Christmas party.
I just paid off our Disney package tonight and staying for CSR for first time...I requested Casita 4 (we have water view category).

I last left you with our having an outstanding breakfast at Boma and taking a walk around the beautiful Animal Kingdom Lodge.

We got in the car and drove over to our destination for the morning -- the Animal Kingdom. This is my third favorite park (the Studios would be my least favorite park).

We pulled in just around 9:00 a.m. and parked the car, got on the tram and walked up to AK.

Our first destination was Kilimanjaro Safaris. We really enjoy doing this first thing in the morning because we have always been very lucky and see lots of animals and active to. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves:

Don't know if you can notice the baby elephant hiding behind the momma:

Please note that we got LOTS of pictures of Dumbo, I mean the elephants, on the safari (and only one of the giraffe--some Grumpy guys head kept blocking my ability to take a picture of the giraffe).

Up next, did Grumpy and his wife FINALLY see Fesitval of the Lion King? Or did they pass it up yet again?

So, did we make Festival of the Lion King? Yes, we did and we are so thrilled that we did. What a spectacular show. It was nice to get out of the heat (already it was brutally hot at the AK) and enjoy the festive atmosphere of this show:

After leaving the Festival of the Lion King, we thought we'd head over towards It's Tough to be a Bug. However, on the way we passed Camp Minnie-Mickey where we had NEVER gone before.

Of course, we had to stop for a photo or two:

Another stop at a store and another hat experience:

And this time a HAND picture:

Up next, the rest of the morning at AK.

We headed over to It's Tough to Be a Bug. I always say I want to take more time to take pictures of the Tree of Life and every year I forget. Here are a couple I did get:

And then on to the show:

After Bug, we walked over to Dinosaur and I rode it by myself (I really like this ride).

We stopped at one more store before heading back to the CSR for the first of two DIS meets this day. And in case you haven't figured it out by now when WE stop in the store, there is always a HAT photo or two or three. :lmao::lmao:

Up next, a VERY SPECIAL DIS meet.

So we headed back to the CSR and parked at the main building because I really wanted a cappucino.

Mark being silly before we entered:

DSC01151.jpg

While Mark was getting my coffee, I ran outside to get a picture of The Three Caballeros:

DSC01153.jpg

Mark and I went back to the room and put on our bathing suits and headed over to the Dig Site. We knew for sure that we would be meeting three lovely ladies and hopefully other DISer's as well. Before those three lovely ladies arrived, we met Robin K and her mom. We had a great visit with Robin and I thank her very much for seeking us out.

While talking to Robin, I spotted those three beautiful beautiful ladies heading our way. We were joined by Mary (MaryAZ) and her precious daughters, Avery and Cayley. I had brought a bag of goodies for each of the girls and Cayley immediately hopped on my lap to explore her goodies. Mary got the girls something to eat. After Avery was done she went off the pool, while Cayley was still munching on her food and visiting with me and her mom. I looked up and saw that Avery and Mark were sitting at the edge of the pool talking. Cayley went to join them a short time later. Mary and I were talking and talking and all of a sudden I looked up and said, "I don't see Mark or the girls." I couldn't find them anywhere. So Mary and I thought we should investigate. I promised her that Mark would not kidnap the kids and we laughed about that. We found them over by the Jaguar slide, all with pouting lips because the slide was not working--the pump had stopped working that rushed the water down the slide. We had no idea if it was going to be fixed or not, so we went back to the bigger portion of pool and did some swimming.

It was so cute...the girls called us Miss Kathy and Mr. Mark and we had so much fun with them. Avery is an excellent swimmer, and both girls had a great time with Mark and I taking turns throwing them in the water and making fishies. They were curious about Mr. Mark's scar on his neck and he let them have a closer look and let them touch it. By this time, the slide was up and running. Now, Mark doesn't go down the slide, but Miss Kathy certainly must, so up the stairs we went. First Avery went, then I sent Cayley down and I followed after both girls were down. We did this several times. It was then time for Mary and the girls to go take a nap and for Mark and I to get some dinner and get ready for another DIS meet before we were joined by Mary and the girls at EMH's at the MK that evening. Before we parted, we took a few pictures of the girls by the pool:

Up next, dinner at the Pepper Market, another delightful DIS meet and EMH's at the MK with the two little Minnows that wore out Mr. Mark...I mean Grumpy

You are an updating machine tonight! I was LOL at the pic of Mark umpiring... NICE!!!!! :goodvibes

Loved your pics from Boma... another one on my long list to try to get to someday. What kind of juice is that?

How many hats do you think Mark tried on over the vacation? I think we are up to 50 now! :rotfl2:

I'm glad you were able to see FOTLK. Isn't Camp Mini-Mickey cute? We love getting our pics there. Plus those lines have those ever-popular misters! :woohoo:

Mary's daughters are so cute. I know a little girl who would love to play with them.:rolleyes1 I'm glad the girls had a chance to try out the slide!!!!

Thanks so much (I worry people will get bored as I tend to rattle on). The Dwarfs was great and I can't wait to have the photopass picture.

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: for paying off your package. I hope you like CSR half as much as we do.

A certain person who will remain nameless yet again was hounding me about an update...so I thought I'd give her several. :lmao::lmao:

Mr. Skimmer...the juice name and ingredients were mentioned earlier. But just for you I will give it again: West African Frunch--a combination of lemonade, pineapple, guava, orange and papaya juice. Let's just say :worship::worship:

That will be your job, Tim...keep count to the number of hats (and believe me...we aren't done...we still have Epcot and another day at the MK).

Mary's daughters are adorable, precious and loads of fun. I'm sure Ana would love hanging with them.

Yes Kathy you are moving at record speed !! Great Updates !!!Lion King is definately on the agenda for next week !!!

I'm just loving that you are getting to have so many DISMeets!! Very precious girls, and an equally precious Mommy. :thumbsup2

I didn't get nearly as many hat pix, but did get some fun ones. But since I'm like as slow as your average slug on a cold winter night at updating, you'll have to wait.

Thanks, Rosie. I have to because I've been neglecting my duties on the "unofficial CSR thread" and really have to get back to updating the new version. I figure if I got a couple of updates done tonight (okay...I got four I think), then I can concentrate on CSR tomorrow. :)

Lion King was awesome.

Liesa, aren't they just great! I could just hug them all day and do girly things with them.

You may be slow, but you have the best updates and we will wait for you DOOFUS. ;)

Whoa! MAJOR updates!

First, love that pic of you and Mark with the 7 dwarfs!! And I'm thrilled you got some pixie dust and were able to meet with Pooh & the gang. Their costumes are the cutest things ever. I bet Mark was lovin' riding Dumbo at night too!

Boma breakfast. Drool. Sooooooo yummy. We've done it twice and I could easily do it every single trip. That juice is amazing, isn't it?

The DIS meet with Mary and the girls sounds like so much fun! And I know it only gets better and even more special with them. How very, very sweet!

I'm caught!!! LOL

I was just trying to catch up. Haven't really been on the last few days. I won't really be back on till Sunday night. Working all weekend. :sad2:

That will be your job, Tim...keep count to the number of hats (and believe me...we aren't done...we still have Epcot and another day at the MK).
OK I will have to go back and count.

DISMeets in general are just peachy!! But when you throw in a couple of well-behaved cutie pies, well, what could get better than that??

BTW, Letter D is up- go take a stab in the dark.

I have a BIG update coming up on my TR. You'll probably see it tomorrow though... :sad1:

BIG UPDATE?? I won't be missing it, if you put it up in the next hour.... I"m on the west coast ya know...

Well then I have 3 1/2 hours! :laughing::laughing:

Nope, when Horton Hears a Who is over in about an hour, I'll be off. So get cracking. (LOL!) I don't know, maybe finding where Letter D is from is more fun than writing an update. :confused3
