A Mouse, Two Little Minnows who wear out Grumpy and Test Track Moves to Naples 11/26

We went to MNSSHP last year !! I love the Halloween decorations !!One day I have to go for Christmas season !!!

We were so lucky to go to two parties very early in September last summer too! LOOOOOVED the party.
You HAVE TO go for Christmas, Rosie, it was so much fun (even if I had to take an unpaid leave!) :rotfl2:

All caught up except for the pictures!!!!! I am at a computer where there are none. I am totally bummed. You are having such a great first day. DIS meets and MNSSHP. Didn't you just love the way the Haunted Mansion was decorated. Looking forward to see your pictures later tonight!

Pictures are great - especially the hats!

So the mist at the HM.....was that there before 7pm? When does that lady come out? I loved her!

All Caught up.

Love the Pictures outside the Haunted Mansion...and Mark makes a better Mad Hatter than Johnny Depp.

Thanks, Nate. I thought he looked rather good in the Mad Hatter myself. :)

Again with the pressure.....jeez woman! :rotfl2: I know, lets for go for the entire month of Oct next year!

Works for me! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I love how Haunted House was decorated.

All caught up, but only the pictures. Some day I'll have to go back and read.

;)

You know, there are chapter links to make it easier for you to read (I don't type THAT much...not like some people I know ;) ).

And NO Judy's! Oh wait............

Only you, Marv. Only you. :lmao::lmao:

Thanks, Mary Ellen. I believe she came out after 7 p.m. (I vaguely remember doing Haunted Mansion and it was a little past 7 when we left to go over to our first character meet and greet.

I like Nicki's idea of the whole month of October!!!! :thumbsup2

I was a couple updates behind, I went to the pool this time too - and such a lovely pool it is! I love the temps the CMs had put on the board. :rotfl:

Looking forward to hearing all about MNSSHP!

great pics from the Halloween Party! The HM is so great during the party! I love all of your hats! And those shrimp from CHH look great! I got the fish combo last year but maybe I will go for the shrimp this year....

I went in December in 2006 for my birthday...at that time, they didn't have those gorgeous lights on the castle. I think they started that the year after. I have to say, I would go again during the Christmas season, but Halloween is way better. The thing with the Christmas season is that EVERYTHING is Christmas-y. The parks are playing Christmas songs, there is a Christmas tree in every park and every resort, they changed the AK parade which is my favorite (next to Boo To You)....I just feel like it's overwhelming. At least, that's how it was in '06. If I wanted to be completely immersed in Christmas I would have stayed home with my crazy Italian family! Like I said, I would do it again, though. There are some pics in my Dec 2006 TR, the link for which is in my siggy if you want to check them out.

As for Starring Rolls...I swear, every time we have tried to eat there they were out of almost everything. I didn't even know they served deli sandwiches because every time we go in there, the shelves are empty!

No, I was just in a silly mood...after Mary Ellen posted that she was caught up except for the pictures I thought I'd post that I was caught up except for the reading. It amused me, and that's all that counts sometimes. :)

Thanks, Brook. I thought Nicki's idea was right on. :thumbsup2

I love pool time...it's what keeps us going at night.

The shrimp were really good, Ali. I would like to do Christmas one time, but I really like Halloween decorations better myself.

Okay, as promised, I'm ready for an update (I may even two tonight because I REALLY have to get working on the "unofficial" CSR thread and work has not left me as much time as I would like to DIS).

So when I last left you, we had just finished riding Haunted Mansion and were headed to our first character meet and greet. There was one picture that we cared most about at this party after reading all about it on the DIS. So after leaving the Haunted Mansion, we headed towards Fantasyland. And this is what we saw:

DSC00938.jpg

So we proceeded to get in line for our opportunity to have our photo taken with all seven of the dwarfs. The line wasn't too long when we entered it since we got there right around 7, but once we were in it, the line proceeded to grow and grow.

Of course, Mark wore the WRONG shirt this night. This, the man who always wears Grumpy t-shirts, wore his Dumbo shirt. But that was okay as we parked him in the picture right where he should be:

After our photo with the seven little guys, we continued to walk toward Fantasyland. We passed the front of Pinocchio's Village Haus where they had Cinderella's carriage (Mark NIXED an idea of a picture in front of that, but we did go through the trick or treat line :)) and went right to Dumbo to ride it at night:

I tried to take a couple of pictures while flying in the air with Dumbo, and this was the result:

From there, it was off to one of my favorites--Winnie-the Pooh:

We went through another trick or treat line on our way to Tomorrowland to see how long the line was for Space Mountain as I considered riding it myself. However, it was over 40 minutes and I didn't want to wait that long. So Mark and I decided to sit down with a snack (popcorn for me, ice cream for him) and watch the entertainment that was going on in Tomorrowland:

DSC00955.jpg

This was a really cute show with Goofy, Chip and Dale and Stitch (ugh) dancing to disco music, country, music, etc. Some of the characters came down and danced with the crowd. It was really cute.

We decided to head up to the front of the park and see if we could find a spot for HallowoWishes. As we approached, we saw how crowded it looked. We saw a abench on the path that leads toward Tomorrowland past Cosmic Rays (near where Belle's Storytime used to appear) and sat there to watch the fireworks. I'm not great with fireworks pictures (I'm working on it, but here are a few that I think turned out pretty well.

This was a spectacular fireworks display. I loved how the castle kept changing colors and they would have silhouette appear on the facade of the castle.

Up next, Boo to You Halloween Parade and another character meet and greet.

Nice update, Kathy! And NO Judy's! :lmao:

Love to get a picture with the 7 little guys. Pretty funny Mark wouldn't have a grumpy shirt on at the most opportune time! Some good castle/fireworks pics too!

I love Hallowishes! I have the sountrack on my iPod :goodvibes Cute pics on Dumbo! Maybe if we get to the party early this year, we'll get in line for the 7 Dwarfs. I really want to do that one but we've never gotten there early enough so the wait was always 2 hours. Maybe this year we'll make it!

Great update! Kathy
I love the picture with the seven dwarfs...will have to do Halloween one year just to meet those guys!
great castle and firework shots I really like the colors on the castle...
:wave2: Connie
I'll will have to make it a point to ride Dumbo next time we go but it will be at night love the way your pictures came out of the castle and the blurred carousel looks like a timed shot!

So after the spectacular fireworks display, we headed to Liberty Square in front of The Hall of Presidents as this is where we usually watch the night time parade. It was already really crowded (and this was for the 10:30 parade). So I told Mark to sit down in the one spot on the ledge around a tree and that I was going to the ladies room and I'd be back. So I did my little business and headed back to Mark. I noticed a LOT of empty seats in Frontierland at the curb. I found Mark and told him I was going back to get a seat right by the rope so I could take pictures. Mark indicated that he'd meet me over there (we were in front of the Diamond Horseshoe Revue). I sat down on the curb right by the rope and Mark found a spot on the ledge around another tree. It was a really great spot except some people kept leaning out by the crosswalk when they closed it off. However, I got some pretty decent pics. The one I really wanted, the Headless Horseman, just galloped by too fast for me to get a photo:

What a great parade. We really enjoyed this and are so glad we decided to go to the MNSSHP this year!

Mark and I were getting tired. We really wanted to do the Villian Show, but we decided it was time to head back to the CSR because we had a full day tomorrow -- the AK and two more DIS meets. And we had spent a lot of time just admiring the costumes and the fun the little ones were having.

So we headed toward Main Street and walked through the Emporium to avoid the crowds on Main Street. And you know what that means, don't you????

Up next, final pics of MNSSHP.

After leaving the Emporium and heading toward the exit, I got very quiet. Mark asked what was wrong and I said, "I didn't see Pooh and Tigger." I was like a little kid...I was so depressed.

I decided to take a few pictures of the train station from the inside as we were exiting because it looked really neat:

Just as we were about to walk under the "See You Real Soon" Pumpkins, these guys appeared and we were able to get in line of just two people in front of us for our pictures. It just made the whole day perfect (I'm hoping the Photopass pictures are better...I can't remember to tell you the truth...because the CM using my camera didn't do a great job...but at least I have my pictures):

Then we had a quick picture with Roy Disney and Minnie Mouse:

We walked up that everending ramp to the monorail to head back to the CSR:

Next update: two more DIS meets and a worn out Grumpy

Nice update number two! I really need to plan a Halloween trip and see all of this in person! :thumbsup2 I'm calling one of your parade pictures "Goofballs" in honor of you and Rosie. I bet you can figure out which picture I'm meaning....:lmao:
