A Mouse, Two Little Minnows who wear out Grumpy and Test Track Moves to Naples 11/26

So we finished with Muppets, first hat pic and the Christmas shop being closed. We didn't feel like walking back to the front of the park to go to Starring Rolls for breakfast, and Mark had to have something to eat so he could take his medications. So we ended up at:

I had a cappucino and Mark had a water and a Chocolate Chip Muffin (sorry...I forgot to take pictures).

After Mark finished up, I wanted to be sure to get these two pictures this year as we have never done it in our numerous visits.

This year we were DETERMINED to do the Animation Studios tour as we had never done that before either. So we got into line...there were maybe 10 people in front of us; six of those ten belonged to one family. And I was really losing my temper with the family. Don't get me wrong...we have kids and we took our kids to Disney and I know they can't always stand still or that they get antsy. But these kids were outright rude and obnoxious. They would push us, literally, to run out of the line and then the father would go and get them and bring them back; then they'd be pushing and shoving and stepping on our feet in the process. I finally got fed up and said something to Mark and, of course, the people did not speak English, but I'm sure they got the gist that I was not happy as I could see the grandfather say something to the mother who had been on the phone the ENTIRE time and she turned to me and smiled. I told Mark when we entered the theater to go in the opposite direction. Like I said, I understand kids are antsy, etc., but these kids were just darn rude as were their parents. Anyway...back to our topic...the Animation Studios tour. We sat in the theater and watched the process of how a cartoon is done, etc. We then walked out into the gallery and looked around at all the cartoons and then had our picture taken with Sorcerer Mickey:

DSC00861.jpg

Obviously we don't have our photopass pictures back yet, but I'll either insert them at each appropriate spot or just post all the good ones at one time.

After seeing Sorcerer Mickey we went to see if the next drawing class was starting and it was just about to begin so Mark and I grabbed two of the last four desks available. I looked to the front of the classroom and let out a sigh of relief that we were NOT drawing Stitch (as many of you know, I am NOT a fan of Stitch). We were to draw Donald Duck. Now, I always stunk at art class and just am not good at it so I had no idea how my picture would turn out. Well, I'll let you be the judge (but if you are my friend you will certainly agree that MINE is better than Grumpy's drawing :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:).

I am so glad we did this; we really enjoyed it and next time want to spend more time in the gallery.

We decided to go back and use our Fast Passes for TSM. When we got there, we noticed that the Fast Pass Machines were already covered up and no more Fast Passes for the day (this was at 11:15 a.m.). We waited less than 5 minutes in the FP lane and were on our way.

And, yes, Grumpy CHEATED again as you'll see in the next picture:

DSC00869.jpg

From there we went to the Great Movie Ride. In our personal opinions, this really needs an updating, but I'm not sure how much they can do with it:

By this time I was hungry. Mark wasn't starving, but he said he'd split a sandwich with me. So we headed off to Starring Rolls Cafe and had a light lunch there:

DSC00881.jpg

This was a very good ham sandwich.

We got a bag of chips and a cookie with it:

Mark got an iced tea and I drank the water he had refilled from the Writers Shop earlier.

We were getting hot by this time and it was too long to the next Beauty & The Beast Show and I really didn't want to do Tower of Terror myself, so we gave out our four fast passes and hit a few shops before heading back to the CSR for an afternoon swim/rest and a DIS meet before our night at the Halloween Party. And, of course, hitting those shops, you know that there is hat pictures. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Even I got into the act:

Up next, meeting DISer's and swimming at the Dig Site pool

I had to comment on this post. I agree with you 1000% on rude kids at Disney. I don't know what it is about Disney that makes some parents turn their kids loose on the public. Last September, at TSM, there was a little, non-english speaking, little boy that kept his head up my butt the whole time we were in line. I too said something to Dale, and that is just one of many, many examples. I know there are different cultures all around this globe we live on, but rude is rude in any language :rolleyes1.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the picture of Mark with the wig on :lmao:.

Looks like you had a great start to MNSSHP :thumbsup2 Good idea on grabbing something to eat before the party :)

I love seeing all of the kids costumes...and some of the adults too
It is such a fun party...the parade, fireworks and different
characters that are out :goodvibes

Tracy

Oh, I do love MNSSHP - and the Fall/Halloween decorations. I've been once the end of October with Sophia and Alexander and what a wonderful trip.

It was especially fun for us, I think, becasue we had a GV room at the GF, but our room looked over the roof of Narcoosses (sp) so we could see the lagoon, monorail, MK Boat Launch and entrance...hear the train and see the MK entrance decorations. What a great room location!!! The ngts not at the Party we had a perfect view of the special fireworks right from our balcony....sigh....maybe one day I can afford to splurge again. ::yes::

Anyway....love the pirate hat pic of you, Kathy! I could almost smell your food from Columbia Harbour House - my all time favorite CS.

Thanks for another nice edition!!

I'm looking forward to hearing what you thought about MNSSHP!! Glad columbia harbor house was open for you! last year so many things were closed..it was weird!

Thanks for sharing and love your TR.
My son can't stand Stitch too and that's one of the reason he doesn't want to go to Ohana breakfast character meal.
can't wait to read more...

Last year we were at MNSSHP !!! Loved the pix

Kathy I was looking for a decent pix and found this

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Sorry none by Kathy!!!!

Leave it to you, Rosie.

I love all the hat pics Kat. :goodvibes The one you have on is one of my favorites, my daughter Mackenzie love the pirate hats too, she never fails to make me laugh with the funny things she does with them and a certain hook....:rotfl:

Oh look! There's one in the background in the last picture trying to make a fast get away!

Can't wait to hear about the MNSSHP!!

Thanks, Camille. I love the photos of Mackenzie in the pirate hat. :thumbsup2

TMI! TMIIIIIII! And you call ME a bad BOY??? :confused3

:lmao:

Oh sure, put all the pressure on me for a new ticker LOL! :lmao:

Um...yes! Have to wait until you are there next month to see what dates you pick so I can book mine.

I love the Magic Kingdom all decorated for Fall/Halloween! :lovestruc I think it's even better than the Christmas decorations!

That looks like the same cake we had at Cosmic Ray's. If so, it is soooo delicious! But you're right--very rich.

I've never seen it at Christmas, but I just love Fall colors (although I'm not fond of Fall because Winter follows it).

Yes, I believe I had the same cake at Cosmic Rays last year minus the Halloween sprinkles.

I can't believe I didn't make it over here until page 14 :scared1:. Going back to catch up now

:welcome::welcome: Dana; I'm so glad you are here.

I understand kids get excited (I still do too), but there is just no excuse for rudeness and it comes from the parents in my opinion. That's one of my favorite pictures of Mark from this trip (hat wise).

Tracy, being our first, we were just flabbergasted by some of the costumes and the work people went to on them.

I'm sure you'll be back sooner than you think.

I don't know when it closed, but that's why we went early...I didn't want to end up being hungry all night.

Thanks for sharing and love your TR.

can't wait to read more...

:welcome: Thank you for joining (that's the main reason we won't go to Ohana breakfast!). :)

Kathy, you got busy posting while I was gone camping. Let me see what I wanted to comment on. I know I'll miss something though.

I hate that your park tickets weren't on your key card. Like you said, though, that's the first time CSR has ever screwed anything up. Still doesn't make you feel any better when you see all the other folks walking into the park and you're standing at Guest Relations/Services or whatever it's called.

I've read a lot about Starring Rolls food but have never eaten there. The food looks really tasty.

It was very sweet of you guys to give away your Fastpasses. I am sure that the people were happy to get them.

Nice resort pictures! The resort looks so beautiful. Glad to hear that you were able to get a little relaxation in before heading over to the Magic Kingdom.

The Magic Kingdom Halloween pictures are so pretty. I have never got to the Magic Kingdom during that time of the year.

Wait.....I know something else I wanted to comment on. Yay for a Dis Meet!

MK looks so pretty decorated for Halloween! :goodvibes I love all the hat pictures! :rotfl: It's nice to not really have a plan for these parties, to just walk around and kind of do whatever, that's what we did for MVMCP last year and it worked out great! Yeah we missed some things, but we had a great time, that's what's important! Can't wait to see what characters you met first! :cool1:

DW & I keep pouting that we are missing MNSSHP this year since we have been the last 2 years. She keeps kidding saying let's just go for a long weekend, and I say lets just go from Monday to Thursday. LOL I think I can see us going next year though. Maybe. :confused3

Love those MK decorations! I hope you turned around to look back at the train station on the way back to the monorail. It looks so cool with all the decorations and all the smoke.

I wonder who you met first.... :scratchin

I guess you snooze you lose! I have been gone on a camping trip with my DD,DS,DH and my parents during our Fall Break-no internet where we stayed.
I am looking forward to catching up now that I am home, sounds like you had a great start!:3dglassespopcorn::

Cool update, I am enjoying hearing about MNSSHP. Maybe someday plane fare won't be so ridiculous and we can justify going down for Columbus Day weekend and check it out in person. Pretty hard to justify two grand in plane fare for a three day weekend, though. :lmao:

Cute Halloweem decor!! I love CHH! I think we did HM 3 times. I know of some cute pics coming up!

As long as it was fixed in a timely fashion, it was no biggie on the tickets. And in ine years, everything can't always be perfect.

You really ought to try Starring Rolls...very good.

We never started going until September/October until the kids stopped traveling with us and just recently started goign later in September in order to do the party. I hope some day you can do it.

A great DIS meet will be up the update after the next one I do.

I hope to get it up tomorrow. I spent tonight consoling a friend.

Maybe you'll be there when we are there next year for the party. We are probably going late October (depending on Nicki and Todd).

Airfare is expensive no matter when, but they really boost it up durign holidays.

Cute Halloweem decor!! I love CHH! I think we did HM 3 times. I know of some cute pics coming up!

I bet you do; and after the cute pics in the next update, the ones in the update after that will be EVEN cuter. :)

Back to join in again after communing with nature for the weekend. ;) GREAT update on your party night. Never can have too many hat pix, can we?

Aren't those extra touches they throw in to make it spooky fun??

Loving your TR. MNSSHP looks so fun. I hope we get to do that someday!

You really should. I don't want to give away too much until my next update, but it is a lot of fun.

All Caught up.

Love the Pictures outside the Haunted Mansion...and Mark makes a better Mad Hatter than Johnny Depp.
