All of the times we have eaten at 'Ohana we have gotten the potstickers, wings, noodles & veggies well before they came around with any skewers. Thats fine with me because I eat more of the sides than the meats, but DH would like everything together. Weird that your experience was the other way around.

We don't mind Chef Mickey's for breakfast either. We did dinner once, however, and never, ever again!

Yeah it was odd but it still made for a great dining experience.

As for dinner at Chef Mickeys, we did it once and it was ok but I wouldn't go back unless I couldn't get a breakfast reservation.

Sorry to hear about your experience at Via Napoli. I completely agree about the penny pinching (we were told it would be an extra charge for well done pizza!) but our food was pretty good and our server almost smothering (although also very hard to understand). This place seems to be so hit and miss. Reviews of people loving it one trip and then hating it the next and vice versa. We had a decent meal so maybe I shouldn't press my luck and try it again!

I would seriously doubt (or at least sincerely hope not) that is Via Napoli policy. It sounds more like a jerky, rogue server making up the rules as they go along...

Our service was just so kind and efficient! Our food was truly delicious! We have two ADRs at Via Napoli for our upcoming visit.

We went to Via Napoli last February and had a great experience and are going again in December. In fact, my daughter has a dairy allergy and they went out of their way to make her something special without cheese since she needed to carb load before the Princess Half Marathon. Our server was from the same town that she spent time in when she went to Italy in college so they chatted for quite some time.

I wish you had had a better experience!!!!

We were first told that it was not possible because of the ovens. That would have been fine. But then our server said that if we really wanted the pizza well done, it could be done but there would be an extra charge. Seemed odd to us. If it can't be done because of the ovens, how would it be possible if we paid more for it? Wasn't a huge deal for us and our pizzas were very good. Just odd.

I'm glad you had a good visit to Via Napoli but as any other restaurant out there unfortunately the ball sometimes drops and I was the unfortunate one that it dropped on.

I am sorry for your experience! I have received the short end of the stick at some other highly regarded restaurants. However, on the post you were responding to I just wanted to make sure you understood I was responding to a comment made by GoofySon'sMom, not you. She was talking about being told of an extra charge for well-done pizza's (which is ridiculous)!

We started off the day with breakfast at Chef Mickeys. Alot of people are disappointed with the food here but for me breakfast is pretty hard to mess up and therefore do not have an issue. We also mainly go there for the characters not the food.

We always go to Chef Mickeys because nothing beats having breakfast with the fab 5.

Service: The service started very well with all the cousin coming around to look after us and bringing tons of the skewers but I really wish they started with bringing the appys and then sides with the meats so we could have enjoyed them together. Also, towards the end of the meal we waited a little bit for the dessert and even longer for the bill. It seemed they tried to keep tables on the same schedule i.e bring dessert, give the the bills ect but it makes it hard if some are taking longer then the others.

Chef Mickeys was one of the ones that I was hesitant to try because of some of the bad reviews that I read about the food. We went their for our first table serve meal (beakfast) and I think it was our favorite place that we went!

At one place we were sitting so long after we asked for the bill we got up and starting looking around before we knew it we were out the door and half way over a bridge before I relized we did not pay. We went back told them what happened and asked for the bill. They thanked us for coming back and said, "I'll be right back with your bill." We still waited for what seamed forever, then we gave her our card and waited even longer for her to bring it back to us. I was full when I first asked for the bill but by this time I was starting to get hungry again.

Thank you. I did know that you were referring to Goofy's mom post but it just seems you cannot believe that 2 of us received less then stellar service there and I was just reiterating that sometimes it happens at the bst of places.

Chef Mickeys definately gets a bad rep. I have never had any huge issues there. Yes, the dinner selection wasn't the greatest but I find most dinner buffets aren't.

If we are pressed for time, I ask for the bill when I order dessert. That way by the time we finish dessert the bill is there! Even doing that, we have still waited sometimes.

If we are pressed for time, I ask for the bill when I order dessert. That way by the time we finish dessert the bill is there! Even doing that, we have still waited sometimes.

We weren't pressed for time but definately could have been doing something else instead of waiing for the bill or waiting to pay.

After spending half the day at the Animal Kingdom we headed off to Downtown Disney to do some shopping and get some lunch.

We planned on going to Wolfgang Puck Express as we ate there last trip and really enjoyed it and since we were on the dining plan this time and this counts as a counterservice we were definately getting the biggest bang for our buck.

We lined up to place our order. The lady who took our order was great, not only did she not charge for YDS's milk but she also gave him a cookie for dessert at no extra charge. I would have gladly payed for it but was soo thankful that she did that.

DH ordered the Pepporoni Pizza

He enjoyed this and it was a huge pizza.

I got the Oven Roasted Salmon - fennel, tomatoes, arugula, roasted potatoes and horseradish cream

This was soo good. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the horseradish cream went so well with it and the arugula. I really enjoyed this.

ODS got the Pepporoni Pizza

Again, this was a very generous side pizza, especially for a kids meal.

MDS got the Macaroni and Cheese

I wasn't sure how he would take this as it wasn't KD..not even close but he absolutely loved it. He ate it all in record time.

For dessert DH, ODS and I all got the creme brulee

It was very good. It had the perfect consistency and it had the nice burnt sugar on top. ODS loved that he could get an "adult" dessert here.

MDS and YDS got a sugar cookie but I don't seem to have a picture.

Service: Because this is a counter service the server mainly just comes over to bring your meal. The waiter was nice enough to offer to take a group picture of us. Here we are:

Food: This was a great meal. I cannot believe that this quality of food is considered a counter service.

Overall: This quickly became on of my favorite places especially being on the dining plan.
