Hi Y'all! This is my first Pre-Trip Report, so please forgive me if my flow/organization seems weird! I hope to write a report that is fun to read! :yay: And of course, if you have any tips or suggestions for our Disneymoon, We are ALL EARS! :earsgirl::earsboy: ...too much?... lol

Anyways, onto the introductions:

Me...aka Meredith. I am a Disney lovin' girl! I have only been to Disney World twice, but fell head over heels with the parks and dream of going back every year.
Favorite Ride: Space Mountain
Favorite Restaurant: Rose and Crown
Favorite Park: Magic Kingdom

Fiance = Craig, my Prince Charming. He has been to Disney World 9 times, count that, NINE times... I'm definitely jealous, but so happy to be marrying someone who loves Disney as much as I do!
Favorite Ride: Space Mountain
Favorite Restaurant: Cosmic Rays Starlight Cafe
Favorite Park: Magic Kingdom

Here we are after getting buckets of water in the face on Splash Mountain... my first experience on the ride! Front row!

And just because they are adorable, here are our two furbabies. Mia and Crosby.

We are planning on spending 7 days at the parks, May 10-17, getting married on the 11th! I have poured countless hours of research into this trip, made excel sheets, schedule examples all in hoping to make it as perfect as possible, but I figure as long as I'm marrying Craig and we're going to be at Disney World, it couldn't be any more perfect than that!

So I guess I will do a post for each day, outlining what parks we'll be going to, our must do's, where we will be eating and any other fun details! Here's just a basic overview:

Day 1 - Check in to our resort and Magic Kingdom
Day 2 - Get Married!
Day 3 - Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios
Day 4 - Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom
Day 5 - Epcot and Downtown Disney
Day 6 - Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios
Day 7 - Magic Kingdom and Epcot
Day 8 - Free day!

That concludes my Intro, hope everyone has a magical day!! pixiedust:

Hi there!:wave2: Joining in!

FIrst off, Congrats on your upcoming marriage!

Secondly, looks like we will be there at the same time with similar plans. Looks like we have about 3 days that match somewhat.

Hi there!:wave2: Joining in!

FIrst off, Congrats on your upcoming marriage!

Secondly, looks like we will be there at the same time with similar plans. Looks like we have about 3 days that match somewhat.

Thanks for joining in! :) And hurray for May trips! This will be my first time visiting in May, both my trips have been in October.

Day 1 - Checking in to Port Orleans French Quarter and half day at the Magic Kingdom!

Kickoff to our Disneymoon will begin at 10:30 am when we land in MCO and try to find our way to the Magic Express. :magnify: Since this is our first time taking the Express I've watched many walkthrough videos so I can make sure we don't get lost on our way there! I have read so many other posts about how this is a great way to jump right into the Disney bubble, plus I am pretty pumped about not having to wait around baggage claim getting excited then let down when I think I see our luggage coming around! :crazy2:

We visited POFQ in October and loved how cozy this resort was, and the fact that we could take a relaxing boat ride to DTD was a nice touch for us. Plus the price of a moderate was perfect, we would rather be able to splurge on food and souvenirs in the parks.

We're hoping that we can make it to the parks around 12:30 or 1 and grab lunch at Craig's favorite place, Cosmic Ray's! He got me hooked on our last trip, I love the toppings bar, since I like my burger piled high with them! Yum Yum!!

After filling up on goodness we're going hit up all our favorite rides, Space Mountain, Big Thunder, Splash Mountain and of course the PeopleMover! I of course was up late on the computer the day we were able to make our Fastpass selections and was able to score one for PoTC. We love this ride and are super lucky we can catch it on the last day before it closes for refurbs. We love the movies, so for our last trip I made Craig a special shirt!

He will be sporting that shirt on our Disneymoon along with the oh so popular "Mr. And Mrs" matching shirts :) Also I will be making him a Groom Ear baseball cap and a set of bride ears for myself! I always attempt to be "artsy craftsy", I made the Oswald shirt in our intro pic, so wish they had a meet and great for him at WDW.

So we will stay at Magic Kingdom, watch Wishes and take it slow, and have a somewhat early night since I will definitely need my beauty rest for the next day... Our Wedding day!

Hope y'all have a Magical Day! pixiedust:

Congratulations! Are you getting married on property?
This sounds amazing.
I LOVE POFQ...love the size of the resort and the food court...beignets every morning!

Can't wait to hear more!

Day 2 - Marrying my Prince Charming!

This is the day I will be on cloud nine!! :cloud9: Our Wedding Day! We decided that we were going to get married on the beach, just the two of us. We would have loved to have a Disney wedding with our family there, but decided that it would be a better choice for us to make it a "Just the Two of Us" day. Both our families live in different parts of the country, and financially, we wanted to spend our money on our honeymoon and have a trip we would never forget!

So we will be heading to the Disney Dolphin on Monday morning to pick up our rental car for the day and then drive to Clearwater, FL. Hang out for the day, check out the area, grab some food at Frenchy's Rockaway Grill...apparently the Grouper sandwich is supposed to be awesome, and I am all about trying new things!

We will be married at sunset on the beach...romantic, right?!... and then pack back into the car drive back to the Dolphin and hop on a bus to Downtown Disney to go celebrate! I think we'll head to Raglan Road, grab some drinks and bask in our new found Mr. and Mrs. happiness!

We are down to 46 days, and they just won't go by fast enough! I am still trying to pick a color for my Magic Band, pretty sure I've changed it at least 5 times. Right now it's gray... is that boring for a honeymoon color!? My last one was red, so I just can't make up my mind!

Next post will have a lot more since it will be our first full day at the parks and our first day as a married couple! WHOOHOO!!

Hope y'all have a Magical Day! pixiedust:

I wish we could get married on property, but a sunset beach ceremony sounded so romantic and super cheap, we couldn't pass it up! And I am SO excited for the beignets! YUMMY!!

Joining in! Congrats to you both!
Getting married on the beach at sunset sounds so romantic! My hubby and I were originally thinking of getting married at the Wedding Pavilion there at WDW, but we had some family members that didn't want to travel to WDW so we ended up having the traditional church wedding locally. But at least my hubby and I Disneymooned at WDW. :lovestruc

Welcome!
We are pretty excited about the beach wedding, and definitely pumped for the Disneymoon!!!

Day 3 - Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and our Celebration Dinner!

This will be our first full day at the parks as... A MARRIED COUPLE! :bounce: :jumping3: Hurray! We will be sporting the Mr. and Mrs. shirts I will be making here in the next couple of weeks. Any shirts I make I either use the freezer paper method or the citrasolv transfer method. I love making my own shirts, one of my favorites is my Indiana Jones tank that I wore last October and was picked as an extra in the show!!

I was super pumped to be in the show, a memory I will never forget!

Back to May! So we will start our day off at the Magic Kingdom. If we aren't super exhausted in the morning, I'm hoping we can make the welcome show before rope drop...if not, then we have plenty of other opportunities to see if during the rest of the week.

Now while lunches are pretty much up to whatever we are feeling like, we do have a specific place picked out for each day on my excel worksheet. I am an excel freak... I love this program and use it any chance I have! Today we have Pinnochio's listed. Craig's family really like this place since they added the flatbreads. If we do eat here, I will most likely try the Caprese flatbread... did I mention I have a 'Food Picks' tab on my excel form?

Let's just break down all the tabs I have on my Disneymoon excel real quick, so you all can get a good laugh in!

1.Budget - this has an overall budget with room, food, travel, etc included and food breakdown budget...for each day, guessing the food items with tax and tip included)
2. Park Schedule - one page, all 7 days with fastpass times included
3. Daily Schedule - an idea of by the hour plans, with the help of TouringPlans that I signed up for
4. Packing List
5. Food picks - everything I think I will order, with prices included
6. Top Rides/Shows (this has the rides/shows ranked...yes one night I had us rank each ride at every park then combined them... also the ride and show lengths)
7. Crowd calendar rankings from a few websites

I am officially an over planner. Now let me also say, once we get there, most of the timing, daily schedule stuff will go out the window, because I just want to enjoy being at the World with Craig... I just LOVE to plan!!! :goodvibes

Alright, back to the parks! We will stay at MK for the early afternoon, no fastpasses here...we saved them for...

Hollywood Studios! Tower of Terror, RockNRoller Coaster, Star Tours and Midway Mania are just TOO much fun! And I have a healthy obsession with Indiana Jones!

So we have fastpasses set for ToT at 2:35, Midway Mania 3:35 and Star Tours 4:55. I will be watching my lines apps closely to try and hit RocknRoller Coaster with a decent wait time somewhere in between. We will have a shorter day at HS since we will be leaving around 6:30 to head back to POFQ to get ready for our dinner at Narcoossee's!

Neither of us have eaten here, but I have read a lot of great reviews, it's right up both of our allies and we can watch Wishes from the dock there. I made us ressies at 8:55 since Wishes is a 10. I want to be able to hopefully be done with dinner right before 10, watch Wishes and then head back to the room and rest up for an early start at Animal Kingdom!

That's all for this post, next one will cover our plans for Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom.

Hope y'all have a Magical Day! pixiedust:

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and Disneymoon! My husband and I went on our Disneymoon in July 2014. Make sure you pick up a just married pin from the front desk you can get some pixie dust during your trip! But you probably already have that in your plans! I don't know if you have plans to go to the character spot with Minnie and Mickey in Epcot. When they saw our Just Married button they made a big to do. We got some GREAT photos! I can't wait to read more about your trip.

We will definitely pick up the pins! I can't wait to wear them! I am hoping to get some character pictures this trip, we haven't ever had any together and we have some empty wall space I want to fill up :thumbsup2

Looks like great plans so far!

Thanks! I'm just ready to actually live them! ::yes::

If you are an over-planner, you've come to the right place! The DIS is full of crazy over-planners! :rotfl2: (Not that I'm a pot calling the kettle black... :rolleyes1)

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! :cloud9:

Don't worry - the Magical Express is super easy to find. There are tons of directional signs. Just make sure you make it to the "B" side of the airport and you'll be good to go! :thumbsup2

I'm jealous that you get to ride Pirates before it closes! I'm really going to miss it this trip! :sad1:

We're trying Narcoossee's for the first time, too! I believe you're able to get up and watch Wishes even if you're not quite done with dinner... and I think they pump in the music, too! I hope you enjoy your ADR!

Following along...we are going on our Disneymoon as well, but 20 years later... We are going to be there the 9th-14th...

Well I am definitely the definition of an over-planner! Countless hours of online research, lets hope it pays off! :surfweb:

I have B terminal forever engraved in my mind now!! LOL

I'm thinking we will finish dinner right before Wishes and then go out on the deck and watch from there. So excited for this night and a different view of the show!

Day 4 - Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom

Just a fair warning, this post is going to be nearly all text. Pictures are so much more fun, but I haven't been enough to have loads of pics...so my goal is to take TONS during our Honeymoon in order to have a wonderful picture filled Trip Report.

We are starting the day off with EMH at Animal Kingdom. The 2 times I have been we have only done a few things at this park, so I'm SUPER excited to try a few new rides and shows. I'm hoping we can get Everest and Dinosaur out of the way first thing in the morning... I really want to ride Kali River Rapids, but Craig says that we will get soaked...so Should we?? I have been watching videos of people on Youtube getting absolutely soaked on this ride, and I don't know how ready I am to slosh around the parks all damp... haha!!

One thing I am dying to see is the Flights of Wonder. I LOVE birds. When I was little I had a bird watching book and just loved identifying them! I'm a bit of a nerd...I know!

And then we will see my favorite show of all.. Lion King! Let me tell you, I have cried both times I have seen this show. It is beautiful, moving and just takes me back to my youth every time! LOVE!!!

Our plan is to hit up Pizzafari and grab some grub, and then head to Magic Kingdom where we have our Fastpasses to Space Mountain, Peter Pan and Big Thunder Mtn.

I have never been on Peter Pans Flight, so I am SO pumped about this ride! Craig said the only way he would ride is if we didn't have to wait the long time that is always posted. So you better believe that I booked a fastpass asap for it!

We have reservations at Trails End for dinner, a buffet, and I am so excited for it. This is one of Craig and his family's favorites. So the nostalgia of the restaurant has me giddy! I am by no means a picky eater, so really I am just looking forward to the experience. Plus the pictures online make it look super good!

We will finish our night at MK, I'm hoping to get some cool night shots, but I have to remember that this trip is not a photography trip but a Celebration of LOVE trip! :lovestruc

Oh and I'm dying to ride the Carrousel! Really want to find the horse with the golden bow...Cinderella's Horse!

That's all for today... Hope y'all have a Magical Day! pixiedust:[/url]

I went to FoLK on my trip in September with my 7 yo. I didn't really know if he would like it, but I was just looking to escape the heat... We both left so in love with the show!! It was a definite highlight for AK for us and therefore a must do for DH and I. I even fast passed it!!

:offtopic:Actually (about my screen name) we are hockey parents but our team LA kings isn't in the playoffs so we are sort of 'eh' about the playoffs... We are currently following the Calder Cup (or will be Wednesday! LOL ) as our local team is Number 1 seed and won the division and basically having the best year! The boys are also skating with them and have been for the last month so that makes it a little more special! LOL
