A Magical Disneyland Engagement!!

On Sunday, December 21st, my DD's boyfriend proposed to her in front of Sleeping Beauty's castle after the fireworks show! Both families were able to be present to witness this happy occasion! A CM found us a nice place to watch the fireworks show, then another CM let Kyle take Melissa under a roped off area in the castle courtyard where he proposed to her. After saying some beautiful things, he presented her with a glass slipper engraved with lyrics from one of her favorite songs. On top of the slipper was the open ring box. Disney went above and beyond to make this a truly magical night and even gave them a gorgeous Jim Shore Cinderella coach! It was an evening none of us will ever forget! Here is one of the pictures that was taken when Melissa first realized what was going to happen! (Sorry for the large size and the darkness! Also forgot to put on the redeye reduction!)

Aww...Congratulations! My son also proposed in front of the castle. They looked into a Disney wedding but decided to have their's in her hometown (with a Disney theme.)

Thank you for the well wishes! They are not planning a Disney wedding, specificially, but I think there will be some Disney touches to it and I'm sure they'll display the glass slipper and Cinderella coach at the reception. My DD and DH will dance to Steven Curtis Chapman's "Cinderella" song, so that will definitely be emotional!
