A MAGICAL Columbus Day Cruise Texas style 10/6/2012

I had just decided to spend the $$$ and book the Secret River excursion in Cozumel and it is sold out! I am so disappointed!!!! The tour company won't do it privately - you must go thru DCL excursions. I'm going to check every day and pray that a family of 4 cancels!

sorry to here :(
i've booked all my trips but it never asked for money? is that how it works...pay when you go?

Renee,

Our daughter is turning 8 today! I hope they can get together! I plan on taking her to the pool while we wait for our luggage to be delivered. Just made storm trooper cupcakes for the class, light saber pretzel rods, and Yoda soda (her class is full of Star Wars fans.) I need a nap and it's only 9:30 am!!

We normally sit down in Parrot Cay (it is usually less crowded on a full ship), but we also normally go in December so crowds and weather may not be factors- if it is a warm day I can see us getting some pool time in as well! Our girls are very close in age! Anna turned 8 exactly one week ago today - I did an easy out - she is not into cake, so I made a cake out of Trix and marshmallows - like a rice crispy cake - you would not believe how many people stopped at our table to ask about it and take pictures...:confused3...I spent less time on it than any of her other cakes/cupcakes, but it was very colorful and festive! I'm sure our daughters will become friends and hang out in the club together!

It will show up on your bill for the cruise in your stateroom. You are charged when you go.

Hi guys! recently booked this cruise! Is there a link for FE or is that closed already? thanks guys! We are excited!

Welcome Heather! OK, I'm I the only one who is super excited about the new cruises from Galveston in 2013 - going to Walt Disney World! I know we will not go in 2013 since we already have this one booked plus Sept Panama Canal with Disneyland booked in 2013, but if they do that in 2014 I am so going!

Yes!!! I am super excited about it, as I was bummed there were no cruises from Galveston to Castaway Cay... But now there are, yeah!!! I, too, don't see us jumping on a cruise in spring 2013, so I hope they continue to offer them at least through 2014. :worship: :cool1:

:yay:
I was wondering the same thing!

Ok, I must be excited!! My post won't go where I want it to go and makes absolutely no sense floating out here! So sorry!

I was responding to the Fish Extender thread and how to join the group. Thanks for helping the DCL newbie!

anyone? fish extender info? please?
I scanned the first page which is where the info usually is in a link but saw nothing.

Hi Heatherlynn! You'll need to pm Patti226. I'm not sure what the cut-off date is. I was going to do FEs, but I'm not since it's just DH & myself. We are taking my MIL & 2 kids on the 10/27 cruise, so we will do FEs with them :goodvibes

The cut of date for the FE is sept 1 you will need to pm me with your info

Thanks! I just PM'ed you. I was in charge of FE's on our last cruise so I know what a chore it can be!

This will be my 6th DCL cruise, and my parents will be joining us.

However, first, we leave for Disneyland next week for our first time there EVER to run the Disneyland half marathon! :cool1:

can't wait to get to know this group!

So.. I wonder when we VGT people will get our room assignments.??
:rolleyes1
Hard to wait. I guess if your ship fills up, they start assigning rooms. I have read some other cruises for Nov have room assignments.. and they were VGT..
Trying to be patient..

I have a 4th grade girl! We will have to get them together. I also have a 4th grade boy ( they are twins). We are doing Stingray City even though my daughter is not too sure about it. I decided it was something the majority of my family wanted to do so we were going to do it! If she just stays on the boat and doesn't get in the water with them that is fine with me. At least she will still see them up close and I have a feeling that once mom, dad and brother are in the water and she sees we are ok she will do it too. We booked our excursion through Captain Marvin's and I have been told they are really patient with people who might be a little scared. Hopefully we all have fun!!

Yes, we will definitely have to get the girls together! So far, the only excursion we have officially booked is Dolphinaris in Cozumel. We booked it online as opposed to DCL and saved over $100. Since both kids are apprehensive about the sting rays we haven't booked yet- but that may change.

We are booked on this cruise! It will be my husband and I's second Disney Cruise (we sailed on the Wonder back in Oct 2000) but it will be the first for my twins and my mom! Only 453 days left to wait:cool1: We had planned on going on the Dream but immediately booked when we found out about sailing from Galvaston! Just a quick 5 hour drive from Fort Worth. I am excited to not have to pay airfare and get to cruise for 3 more days! We will be celebrating our 13th anniversary while on this cruise (October 9th)

Our 12th anniversary will be on October 7th, but we are celebrating at Palo on the 10th so we don't miss any of the special dinners on board.

Almost to my 10th post....

Okay, What is VGT?

Gotta know!

One more question - now 3 out of 4 of us want to do the Sting Ray/Snorkeling Tour and we are also going to book through Captain Marvin's - which tour and time are you booked for? Thanks!

We are doing the Island Tour at 9:00 followed by the 2 stop snorkel and stingray at 11:15. Both are through captain Marvin's. I figured it would be better to do the tour in the morning and then be in the water when it got a little hotter around lunch time.
