A Maclaren question

Okay, so I have the Twin Triumph, and I love it. I will be taking it to WDW in June for sure for my two youngest.

But...I'm thinking it's time to purchase a single for my now two month old. I used the Maclaren double for the first time today with him as his head control has been really good, and he is comfortable sitting up. However, I would like something that lays flatter. And since my two older kids are 4 and 6, they don't need a stroller for the shorter trips. A double isn't really necessary.

I want a Maclaren though, because they are so easy to fold up and are better for a taller person to use. I have five kids during the day because I watch another family, and my van is filled to capacity. I loved that the Maclaren fits so nicely in the back, and that there is room for other stuff if need be.

This is the best place I can think to ask this question! So, which of the Maclarens would you recommend?

i love my maclaren quest mod! We brought it on a 2 week trip through Europe, even though all of our family told us to bring the larger travel system stroller we have and were very happy with our decision. They said that the stroller wheels would break off from all the cobblestone and uneven walkways within a week, well they were way wrong, it held up great! Our daughter loves it too, she is 9 months and about 21 lbs and she has lots of room, it reclines pretty far for naps, folds up easily and is pretty lightweight. we look forward to bringing it to disney in september!!

I second the Quest, we have 2 and used them very early on for our DSs. That's as low as i'd go for a baby that small since it has a nice recline and a leg rest.

Thank you.

I went out and looked last night...I found a stroller that I'm going to look into more. It's the Chicco Liteway. Seems to offer all the that the Quest has, but is 130.00 as opposed to more than 200. So, I'm going to research a bit, but now I have the right Maclaren to stack it against!

Hey, you can get a Quest on ebay for about $130! I can PM you the seller's name, but a ways back it was suspected that the seller is actually Maclaren-US. I bought two from them over the past few years. :thumbsup2

Hopefully I'll be buying my twin techno from them in a few months :wizard:

It was actually the Techno Xt that I was looking for...not the mod. Oops.

I did look on ebay and amazon and several other sites, and I just couldn't find a price that beat the Chicco. I ended up buying it for 115.00.

It has really good reviews on all of the websites that I read...so hopefully I'll like it as much as my Mac Twin.

Thanks so much for looking though! That was nice of you. :)

Yeah, the Techno's get pretty expensive. Enjoy the Chicco! :goodvibes

Btw, did you like your Mac Twin? We're going to need a double and so far that's what I'm leaning toward.

And you will love any of their Twins! Mine is not the Techno, as I wasn't looking to buy for a baby at the time. It's either the Traveller or the Triumph (it's in the car, so it isn't right in front of me). But it was so easy to maneuver and fit in the back of my van so nicely. I needed something that fit nicely as I watch two other kids besides my own and needed to have all of the seats in all of the time.

The side-by-side doubles are so much better, IMO. I have a Dreamer Design Ditto jogger (also a side-by-side) that I love, and will still actually use that for long walks and runs, etc...even if only one kid is in it. But it just didn't fit in the car with all of the kids, and I was constantly drawing blood every time I took it out to set it up! The double Mac was a lifesaver.

Happy hunting!

Funny...we were posting at the same time. If you have any questions about it, feel free to ask. :)
