DH got the John Smith's Duck Terrine. It was good if you like pate. He tried to offer some to CS, but she looked at it and made a face.
I couldn't help but say, "Try the grey stuff, it's delicious!!"

But I must say the grey stuff does look pretty darn delicious to me

S got the Triangoli pasta. She thought it was pretty good.

This looks yummy. Is that caviar on top????

Moet Ice with an orange peel twist, mint and blueberries! It just adds a slight flavor to the drink and I really enjoyed it! My favorite cocktail as of now!

Yum this looks delicious. Gonna have to try that one.

Wow, you look absolutely perfect. I would have thought you bought that all together as a costume.

In all my excitement I forgot to get pictures of the back of my hair while in the room, so here's one I took a few hours later:

And the hair!!!!! How awesome. I actually thought it was all your own hair at first. You did an amazing job.

There was definitely excitement in the air (or was it just mine? ) You could hear the Star Wars soundtrack playing all throughout the ship. It wasn't loud and blaring but it was definitely there and set the tone for the whole day. If you are not a Star Wars fan...I would suggest staying in your stateroom all day or going to the Rainforest room...all day. LOL.

How fun! I"m sure it set the tone for the whole day.

Here's our Shutter's picture. I like it but I wish they had gotten R2D2's entire form in the picture! Why cut him off?

This is great. But you're right on R2. It's almost like he was super imposed in there after the fact.

The seller I got the necklace from is lapinkrouge
She's really nice and she custom made the necklace because I wanted her to add an extra square. I don't like necklaces that are choker style so wanted to make sure I would be comfy all day. Looking back I don't think I needed to do it but it was fine in any case.

The seller I got the belt from is Dollyiance
She also custom makes the belt according to the length you specify.

I'm not sure, I don't think so as I think this was a vegetarian pasta and they would probably make it all vegetarian. I think it was some sort of pesto sauce. But caviar would have been waaaay better.

It's yummy! I tried to find the Moet Ice in our local wine store but they didn't have it. They do have a much cheaper alternative ice champagne though and it's a great substitute.

STAR WARS Day at Sea
Day 5 Part 2: It's like Mos Eisley's Cantina in here!

To say we were in a Star Wars fan mecca would be an understatement.

The Atrium was where most of the action was happening. It was Star Wars all day and I was thrilled! Beginning at around 10am we saw characters hanging around Decks 3 and 4, mostly centered around the atrium, but some did go outside. Lots of people said they loved our costumes and I told others I loved theirs. There was a great camaraderie in the ship that day.

We found the Gamorrean Guard!

We followed the Gamorrean Guard around but he had me imprisoned! Check out the video below. The Imperial Officers were NO HELP.

What I should have yelled at the end was "Help me Obi Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope!" but I forgot the "Help me Obi Wan" part.

The Jawas were up to no good...as usual.

Hmm...Stormtroopers and Sandpeople...is this some alliance we don't know of? Sketchy...

11am was the first showing of the "Guest Speaker Series" that was part of the Star Wars Day festivities. This week was Steve Sansweet, of Rancho Obi Wan, who has the largest private collection of Star Wars memorabilia. Most people would be like, "Who's that?" but I actually happen to follow Rancho Obi Wan on Instagram so I knew who Steve Sansweet was. I figured it would give us a nice break in the hectic pace of the morning.

We gathered in the Buena Vista Theater - it was nice to sit down!

CS asked, um, what are we here for? And when I told her, she's like, er, PASS, so she ducked out and then it was just DH and I.

I'm beginning to think I should have made DH call me "Your Worshipness" throughout the day. You know, for the sake of staying in character and all.

Steve Sansweet gave a little presentation on the history of Rancho Obi Wan and how it has grown over the years. It was ok, not terribly exciting, but he does have some pretty cool stuff. I have worked NY Comic Con for the past 8 years and so I know how much value some Star Wars memorabilia hold, especially for a lot of collectors. For others though I'm sure they found this a bit boring. The best part was right before the show when someone asked to take my picture! Me!! LOL. I obliged.

After the presentation we met up with CS, who was doing the Midship Detective Agency! So DH joined along and got his own quest. It was pretty neat to see the pictures coming to life!

I believe we were on Deck 2 for this. I was tired so I just sat down on one of the sofas. This was where I got to take that picture of the back of my hair as well!

We then decided to get something to eat since we hadn't eaten anything yet. I pondered changing since I was wearing a LONG WHITE GOWN but then decided to just wing it. I wasn't too hungry yet anyways and the white spandex wasn't exactly the most forgiving material to pig out in.

As we were in the elevator to Deck 11, this was where we had some of the best fan interaction. We were in a pretty full elevator. There was a Jedi among us standing at the front close to the doors. The doors opened on Deck 7 and there were 2 people waiting there, a guy and a girl, peering to see if they can get on.

Girl (to Guy): You think we can squeeze in?
Guy: I dunno, looks pretty full.
Jedi (waving hand over guy): You will take the next elevator.
Guy (to girl): We will take the next elevator!

Elevator door closes.
Thunderous applause and laughter from everyone!

This not the elevator Jedi, but some Jedi that I asked to take a picture of. I'm sure he would have done the same!

Deck 11 was packed. It was also incredibly hot and humid that day! Since it was a sea day, there were plenty of people out by the pool. Every so often there would be an announcement on the big screen about the Empire looking for the Rebel Alliance, as well as Stormtroopers patrolling.

Cabanas was also a madhouse. Thankfully we got a seat inside to escape the heat. DH and CS attacked the crab station as usual.

I ate some stuff that was easy to eat (fries etc) but I made sure to tuck a napkin in my dress so as not to stain it. I couldn't help but look around at Cabanas at all the Jedi, aliens, siths, bounty hunters, stormtroopers, pretty much everyone dressed in costume eating lunch and having a good time. I thought to myself, this is kinda like Mos Eisley's Cantina!! And they did indeed have the soundtrack playing in Cabanas as well. So wait for the Cantina song...and there you have it...your Star Wars Day at Sea Cantina on the high seas (minus the libations).



We could hear the horn playing the imperial march throughout the day. The times were listed in the Navigator. We didn't go outside to see or hear this though as we were always in the middle of doing something else. It had already been a jam-packed morning! We met a pair of droids, took a lot of pictures, saw the guest speaker, had lunch, and met many great Star Wars fans in between! We didn't event get to make it to any of the Trials of the Temple Jedi Training shows. Now it was time for the Costume Gathering and we had a promise to keep!

We headed to the balcony on Deck 4 and waited where we were supposed to. I shot this video while we were waiting and you kinda get the full view of what was happening in the Atrium.

Don't know what I like more- the description of the bread or the wagon it rode in on.

I agree with you on the salad flavors. Bleu cheese is awesome and my favorite salads have fruit (and nuts)

The champagne bar looks so whimsical. Your drink looked light and super good.

It has been a long time since I saw any of the original SW trilogy on the big screen. How fun that you could come and go.

Love your costume! I'm happy to see that by your cruise the wondering characters were more willing to stop and take photos and that the stormtroopers had their own area. It was our biggest frustration with our cruise, we had to chase after everyone and most of the time, they wouldn't stop to take a photo, we saw lots of sad people that day. It looks like Disney may have taken some comments to heart and changed things by your cruise.

The day looks like so much fun. The CM costumes are impressive, but so are a lot of the guests'.

I don't think I have mentioned that Friday is the elementary school "Galaxy Dance" for boys in our school district. Very heavy Star Wars influence. This is somewhat of a repeat of the dance I ran 5 years ago (2010: A Space Odyssey) so I am helping out. We have our droid- a former Halloween costume- and a cardboard Darth Vader.

One of our snacks is the Wookie Cookie (they're kind of Chewie). We have a Tatoo-nie station for space ink. And a guess the number of jelly beans in the Jar Jar Jar

It was an awesome interaction! There were definitely many moments like this throughout the day, a lot of people kept with their role playing! I just remember that elevator one very clearly!

It was such fun! A lot of people had a great time role-playing and acting like grown-up kids. I'm sure for a lot of the adults, this was like the perfect opportunity to geek out with Star Wars without feeling like they are the only ones! (Myself included!)

The theme of the bar was really cute! I was surprised not many people were in it each time we went. I think some people don't know that it's there because the first bars you see are usually The Tube on one side and La Piazza on the other side (and they were also the most populated). Skyline, O'Gills, and Ooh La La have their own separate doors so I think some people don't notice. But I loved that it was hidden and was like entering a different theme in each area!

Thank you! Yes, I think they did take some feedback into consideration. There were separate photo ops for the Storm Troopers as well as the Imperial Guards which I'll show later. I didn't see any sad faces that day, but I also didn't go to the Jedi Training so not sure if they improved that or not (although they seemed to have added more sessions in the day). Next year's will probably be better, I hope! I did feel the pace of the day a bit rushed, especially the evening festivities.
