A Little While Ago in Central Florida

Saddle Creek Park is a lovely wilderness area located in Lakeland. It's about 15 miles from my house.

There is an amazing variety of bird life to be seen. The next two photos are a white heron. The third photo is a mystery bird. I've got to look that one up.

There was also a very small gator in one of the ponds. Only his eyes were above water though so no photo.

People actually camp there year round. I'd have to pass on that. This place is a bit too wild for my taste.

When the sun started setting, it was time to go.

Just a magnificent night in Florida.
