as for those Disney death stories....some of them, if true, are people and teens being stupid...I mean switching cars in the middle of the ride, etc. And the grad night incidents....I guess Disney now has to hire people to babysit misbehaving teens. If you are graduating high school you should have some common sense....
I agree - I find the "details" in the two websites very interesting... names are similar but not necessarily exactly the same (which site is correct? if these are true incidents, accurate information would be available from public sources such as newspapers) and incidents are similar but not necessarily described the same way (did that 18-year-old sneak backstage into a "staff only" area to borrow a boat, or were he and his friend actually on the Rivers of America - which is a public area).
Some other aspects I 'enjoyed' from both unsupported websites - Disney doesn't have Hosts and Hostesses, Security or otherwise. They have Cast Members, yet the Anomalies website refuses to use that term - or isn't aware of it!?!?
And the Talkac.org site mentions, with no apparent sarcasm, the dangers of a vehicle speeding along at TWO miles per hour - slower than most people WALK!

I don't think anybody refused to call an ambulance, I just think nobody offered to call one - and yes, there's a difference.

and the manager of the restaurant personally walked me to the first aid station. He also comped us our lunch. We did not ask or expect such kindness. But it made me a lifetime disney fan, what goes around, comes around.
Not to make light of your - or anybody's - injury/situation, but, um, you do know wasps don't bite, right? They sting? I don't know what reaction I'd have had if I got stung. If any such insect were on me, I'd be the one standing absolutely still with my eyes squeezed shut screaming, "Get it OFF me! Get it OFF me, NOW!" Well, unless it was on my face, in which case I'd probably just faint

{quote=homer424]This is OT, but this was not our experience when we just went in August. Every CM we encountered helped my grandmother out of her chair, to the ride, off the ride and back to the chair. We did not encounter one that said they could not help her.
Yep, I travel alone most of the time, and most CMs have been extremely helpful (one even pushed me in a wheelchair up the ramp to Winnie the Pooh!) but they're not supposed to and they're not obligated to. So your grandmother and I were lucky - except I bet your DGM is a much more charming person than I am

There were 3 male CMs that we obviously strong enough to help but they told the woman they were not allowed. I can somewhat understand if by chance they dropped him, Disney doesn't want to be held liable.
It's not just that - if a CM is injured while physically assisting a Guest, Disney is liable. Okay, fine, it means their Workers Comp premiums increase

The management needs to participate.
I sent a letter to disney referencing 8 days of ignorance, and other valid real problems that happened while i was there.
I get a form letter thanking me for writing and they understand my concerns.
What I'd like to know is this --- if they understand the concerns,
could they please go over them with me!!!!!!!!
I'm sorry you had such bad experiences throughout most of your trip (disclaimer: I am in no way affiliated with Disney or any of its subsidiaries; and by expressing my sorrow at Joanne's experience am in NO way accepting blame for anything that did or did not happen on her trip!) but I wasn't aware Disney offered sensitivity training. But that's beside the point.
Unfortunately, the best time to complain or present issues, negative or positive, is while you are at a given location! Really, if you wait until you get home and write to a company, you're pretty much going to get a canned response. But if you present the issue in person, well, who knows? Speaking of which - I'm still waiting for Cosmic Ray's to install at least ONE automatic door. I'd appreciate it if maybe once a month, somebody would check all four doors for me? Sure, they've put in ramps - but I still can't get into the building in an ECV unless somebody opens a door for me! It should work this time. I spoke to a Manager. We'll see...
