A little sad

We were suppossed to go to my parents for chinese food today, my whole family gets together every new years day. My mom just called and she has a horrible cold, 2 of my kids have serious respiratory issues and whenever they get a cold it immediatley turns to a wheeze. We thought it would be better if we stayed home. So now everyone will be there except fo dh, myself and the kids. I know it is silly and not going is the right thing, but Im a little dissappointed. Especially, because my dad is sick and we arent together very often as a whole. Oh well, thanks for listening, Ill end my pity party now.

Sorry to hear that - that really is a bummer, but's it's better for everyone to get well and not spread it around.

We too had to cancel our christmas get together due to the other family members being sick...but we rescheduled and had a great time - it'll be worth the wait I promise
