Hi,
I just wondered if anyone has stayed at the fairways of Palm aire in Pompano beach? I was thinking of going down there after our week at Summer bay.
Any suggestions as to which area to ask for? i can get a two bedroom condo.
any input would be appreciated. Do they have a tiki bar???
You can tell where my priorites are :cool1:

thanks

Hi Suzee - we traded into there four years ago; no kids on that trip, just us. If you love golf, this is the place; if not, then it is a 20-25 minute drive to the beaches, which are beautiful. There are many fine restaurants in the area, but we are more active and since we do not golf, it may not have been the best exchange for us. In fact, we did get on the highway and drive up to Disney for 2 nights.
The resort is divided into two main bldgs - we were at one further into the complex, close to the golf course. The pool in our section was smaller and not as neatly kept - it was located outside the area where the timeshare presentations were made; if you walked a few minutes, you found yourself in the newer section and their pool was much larger, it was almost like a horseshoe shaped bldg built around the pool area perhaps 5 or 6 floors high.
Hope this helps provide you with some information. :flower:

We stayed there a few years ago and weren't impressed.

We don't golf. The early morning mowers and the watering of the greens (and our patio furniture) were annoying. You couldn't sit on your patio without watching the golfers. DS found several golf balls right there, so I guess you also risk getting hit.

It's a LONG way from the beach. Convenient to the track, though.

We were in an older building and had serious maintenance issues both inside the unit and in the common areas. They were never addressed satisfactorily. A followup letter got no response.

We haven't been back and probably won't be.

Sheila
