A Little Milk Money Sent Us To Disney.

We have a milk jug that we dump our pocket change into for our trip and this time we had a total of $356 in it! WOW my guess was $175 my hubby guested $250 I write the date on the jug that we begin saving and it took us almost a year.

Our airfare total for the both of us is $323. The 8 day car rental is $84. We are DVC members so the room is paid for already. Now I need to pack.

Yep our trip is in two days and I have not pack a thing. Good thing I am off today and tomorrow. But after 16 trip to visit the mouse I think I have a good handle on what we need to bring.

Now for the cast introduction. It's just me and DH.
DH has been working 50-60 hour weeks from Jan to April to get a federal regulation in place for the bank he works at. With limited staff and a fast approaching deadline of April 1 its all hands on deck to get it done. So he decided that with all the overtime $$$ he wants to go to WDW to relax. I can't agree more after all he deserves it. Not to mention I have not had a lot of alone time with him for the past 4 months.

We booked our flights on Southwest when the just so happened to have a one day sale of $54 each way. How could we pass up a greal deal like that!

Now where shall we stay. We wanted to try Kidani but they only had availablity for 2 days of our trip. So we opted to stay at our home resort of SSR. We love it there. There is a lot of room to walk around the grounds, rent a bike and ride over to OKW or hop on the boat to DTD.

Now we need to rent a car. We found a great deal at Alamo. By joining their Insiders club, using the exclusive Insiders corp ID of 7015820 + the $40 off coupon we were able to reserve a mid size car for 8 days for a total of $84.00.

With 8 days of freedom what shall we do... We plan to go to Tampa for the day to go to Honeymoon Island where I hear there are tons of shell that wash up on shore. We will check out the casino while we are there. And have lunch at our favorite spot Frenchys. http://frenchysonline.com/

We plan to trek over to Cocoa Beach one day to visit our Aunt and Uncle. If you on Main St at MK and happen to see a photopass photographer by the name of Mike say hi. He is my DH Uncle and just got a job a Disney and starts the day before we arrive.

Well did I mention that we leave in just 2 days! I better get moving and start packing. But stay tuned for more details.

Oh wow! Planning a trip in two days! That's awesome! I guess that really is the perk of DVC! Do you have an annual pass or will you just purchase tickets- did I miss that? Exciting stuff!

7 years ago we bought 10 day non expiring park hoppers and we still have two days left on the tickets. We plan to purchase new 10 tickets when we get back. We usually only go one or two days to the parks depending on the length of our visit.

I have a check list that I created a couple years ago that details everything we need to pack. So its a matter of printing, packing and checking things off.

I save all my change and give it to my grandsons when we go to Disney. I also play Bingo everyweek ans satarted saving my winnings when we got back this Feb and I already have $350 in that pot towards the next trip. Now I am going to start using coupns again and put the savings in the Disney pot. It all adds up and doesn't hurt a bit.

I have 10 day non-expiring tickets for me and my dh.
I am on year 3.
My dh has a convention every year in Orlando and I usually do one day by myself and we do one park day together. I have the extra's on my ticket so I do water parks, Disney Quest and this year I played golf.

Cool about DVC. I wish Southwest would have flights that cheap from Milwaukee. I think the lowest I ever saw was in the $90's.
