A little "Insider Information" about ABD and ABD/DCL ***UPDATE*** on page 3

Looks like ABD has all the cruise add-on info online (except the prices).

The Baltic cruise add-on looks nice...I hope there's more to the itinerary each day because a couple of the days look extremely light (like Stockholm...nothing noted after lunch and we don't need to be back on board until 4:45..and where's the ABBA museum??)

I was considering the London pre-stay, but it looks like a waste of money. It says 3 days/ 2 nights, but the first day is only dinner and the last day is just a ride to the ship. Day 2 is only morning and afternoon, with no dinner included. And they don't have the London Eye or St. Paul's cathedral included. I'm sure this trip is a pretty penny, so I'm disappointed at weak the itinerary is.

We're going to do 2 -3 additional pre-days in Stockholm before heading to London. Stockholm looks like such an amazing city and I want to make sure we have plenty of time to fully see it and experience it!

They are not sold out as far as I know.

They are not loaded into the system yet.

I also understand that there may be an embedded ABD add on available for the 6/6//15 sailing.

The cost per person for the 7/22/15 Baltic cruise is $3389.00 per person.

ABD had serious glitches with their system this morning.

After holding for 90 minutes, a message stated that "due to circumstances beyond our control, we are unable to assist you at this point" and the call disconnected.

It took 30 minutes to get back into the call queue.

I haven't received a breakdown, but the total cost to add the ABD for 3A and 1C (at least I think my then-12YO is priced as an adult) was $13,386 which is an average of $3,346.50 per person.

I would love a Meets thread for the July 10 Baltics cruise add-on.

Quoting my own post now, but the pricing I sited above does work out the same as the pricing Kevin gave for the July 22 add-on. Makes sense since they are both 12-night cruises.

We were really hoping to be able to do the 12N add-on but the price is just sooo high. Had to stretch to make the cruise itself work and now the ABD is going to be even more than the cruise was.

Oh well. Guess we'll just keep saving up to do China in a couple of years.

Thanks for posting this ... saves me a phone call. Not in the budget for the 8 of us, unfortunately. I think we'll stick with our plan of arriving a day or two early and doing Tivoli Gardens on our own. Post cruise, we're thinking of spending a few days in Disneyland Paris.

If they weren't sold out when you posted this, I think they are now -- at least for the two dates I checked earlier, anyway.

I got on at 8am yesterday and they weren't loaded into the system. I spoke with someone again at 8:40am and was told that they were taking names and timestamping them (luckily I had called at 8am). At noon I was told that they took names from 8am to 9am but started the waitlist after that first hour, because of the high demand. I think by noon most of the dates were sold out. I really held my breath until 2pm when I got my confirmations!

Kevin, anything new today? I'm guessing that some folks didn't pay the extra deposits when they saw the price, but I still had no luck for two more people today. The waitlist is probably pretty long!

Someone else here mentioned not being crazy about the pre-cruise itinerary but I actually love it. I just came back from Denmark two weeks ago (Baltic cruise with Holland America) and the AbD pre-cruise has a lot of our favorite spots!

For those doing the Baltic cruise without the AbD add-on, we used a wonderful private tour company in Estonia, St. Petersburg and Berlin called SPB Tours. I hope it's okay to share that - I have no connection with them whatsoever other than being a very happy guest! They also have excursions in Denmark, Helsinki and Stockholm.
