My DD and I are driving down to Disney next September..We want to rent a car from home to WDW and turn it in there...I know there is a place there to drop off a car but am wondering if they will rent us a car to come back. We will have no use for the car as we will be staying on the monorail and plan on spending most of our time at Epcot, with a day or two at the other parks. Any help you all can give will be most appreciated. BTW if this is not the right place to post, please move.

The Alamo/National car rental is on property near the parking gates to the MK. They will give you a ride to anywhere on property once to return the vehicle and pick you up at any resort to go and get a vehicle. Very stress free and one of the greatest perks we have found. Just type in Orlando on the rental part of the Alamo website and the Walt Disney Car Care Center should pop up.

Sometimes a one way rental can be higher than a return rental and depending on the length of your stay you might find it cheaper to just leave it parked in the resort car park.

Be sure to check the agreement when you rent the car. Here in Maryland, most that I've rented indicate that you won't take it out of the Maryland, DC, Virginia area I believe. You'll want to make sure you can take the car to Florida (I don't know what state you'll be renting it in).
I do have a friend that rented a car in St. Louis to drive down to Disney, but they kept it the whole time and drove back. They didn't trust their car to make the trip, and didn't want to put the miles on it.
