So we should have signed up back in June but we could not and now the points are $119 per point. They want to give us $5 off but thats it. I told our rep that we really want a cruise incentive and she said that unfortunately that was no longer being offered.

So if I was on the cruise ship and purchased would we be offered a cruise? I mean it's the only thing holding us back and $5 off pp? I know DVC will not have an issue selling BLT out but right now I am ready to wait and buy resale!!

UHG!

Oh My!! They were giving away cruises?? That's great! We're in the process of closing on BLT right now and the only incentives we got were the $5 towards each point) we purchased before the increase so it ended up being $112 a point, well $105 with the incentive, then we were given this years and next years points. I wish we had know about the cruise before!!:scared1::lmao: I've heard that BLT is nearly sold out, but I'm sure you could find it on the realse market if you don't have a problem buying resale. About 2 weeks ago I looked into BLT resale but there was nothing really. However, I'm sure in the next year that will change. Good Luck! April

BLT is not sold out, if fact the hype for BLT was much greater than the resulting sales. 40% sold was the last number given to me by DVD.

Disney has decided to let BLT rest for awhile and focus on VGC another sales disappointment. They want to sell it out fast and move on.

I expect that BLT will be offered at a better price later and maybe another cruise incentive will be offered. They raise the price then offer a discount. If they don't meet sales projections, they will raise the price again to create panic and in a month or so lower the price even lower to get buyers who were on the fence to hurry and buy before the price goes back up. :sad2:

The cruise incentive came and went. If you were go on a cruise now with the intention of buying you would be disappointed because you would not be offered the free cruise incentive. The incentives offered onboard are essentially the same as the ones offered on land except they will throw in some $$$ as an OBC and possibly a few dollars more discount per point.

BLT is not almost sold out. Check out this thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2212548&page=9

Only a little over half of the units for BLT have been declared, of these declared units three quarters have been sold. Therefore more than half of BLT's units are still unsold. In fact wdrl tells me there are 60% remaining to be sold. I'm afraid some of the guides are over stating the rapidity of the sales at BLT. BLT's units are moving fast but I'd be surprised if they are sold out before another year.

BTW a unit consists of 19640 to 39280 points each. About 2,328,000 of 5.8 million points have been sold. I believe you have time to think on it if you want to see if a better offer comes around. Or to see if a resale comes available.

I'm sorry to hear that you did not get the incentives that you wanted, but at least you have a beautiful home resort. I Wish I had the money to buy in as well.
