We've had a rough trip. We're here for 4 days and on day 1 my back goes out. Day 2, kids tired and miserable, struggled all day. Day 3 starts out with my wife throwing up at 4 am apparently from the dinner we had. We wanted to get our Morning Magic in as well as World of Color Fastpasses. It just wasn't in the cards. We finally got to GRR at about 11am and sure enough all Fastpasses were gone. This was our one chance to see it as on our last night (today) it's supposed to rain and we won't stay out in the rain with our 10, 7, and 5 yr old kids. At about 5 minutes to 8 we decided to just go over to the World of Color area and see if we can see anything because we're bummed that we won't see it. I walked by a cast member and asked politely where a good place to go would be to just get a glimpse of the show. After talking to him for a minute and explaining our morning, he said "follow me". No sweat, we'll follow him! He led us to a VIP area that had a perfect view of the show and plenty of room. I felt a little guilty but we had a great time. That cast member really turned our trip around and made us feel a little special when we weren't feeling so special. Thanks to him (I won't put his name down, in case he wasn't supposed to do that) and know that you can make a difference with a little kindness and Disney Magic.

Day 4 - here we come, rain and all!

I'm sorry you all weren't feeling too well for the first part of your trip. I know just how you are feeling, twice in the past we've gotten the stomach flu while at DL and it was no fun. Thankfully we've always planned 5 days at Disney so we still had time to enjoy our vacation. I'm really glad that cm was able to make your trip special!! That was wonderful!

Its amazing how one act of kindness can totally change everything!! I'm so glad you got the chance to see the show & hope you'll all look back fondly on this trip.....even with it's speed bumps!!

well im happy that the cm was able to help you an hope your last day is good

That's really cool. Not many people get to experience WoC like you did.

It is so great that he was able to turn your trip around with a little care and concern! You were definitely due a little Disney magic, no need to feel guilty about good fortune. :goodvibes:goodvibes

That's definitely what they are supposed to do! In fact if it was me, I'd head over to City Hall and fill out a Thank You card for him. :) I'm glad your last day is going better!! :)

Actually that's exactly the type of thing that CMs can do....they are tasked with making each guest have a great time...and sounds like it worked for you!

Might I suggest that you make a stop at City Hall and fill out of a compliment card for that CM. Let management know how he turned your day around! it goes in their permanent file....and of course we all know that people tend to complain more than compliment and management knows that as well....so it counts extra when they get glowing reports, lol.

If you've already left, that's ok, just send an email to Disney (see their website for the address, I'm on my cell phone right now and can't open another window to find it...or someone hopefully will chime in with it). Give them dates/times and names so the right person gets the credit they deserve!

It is so nice to hear these great things about cast members. We will be arriving at DL June 10 for our 1st trip ever and I have a feeling we may be totally lost on where to go and what to see. The 1st time at WDW was overwhelming, but each visit you feel more comfortable. Cast members can make all the difference in the world. We will have to remember that we can ask them questions if needed!:goodvibes
