A list for Claire . . . .

LOL. Well at least we have the daily entertainment

Free points

No dues

Buy back points you cannot sell just so my investment will be worth more

Give us more discounts

Eventually we would like free tickets. (heck why stop there. Can they give us free dining and pay for our plane tickets too?)

And we thought Fantasyland only existes in the Magic Kingdom. . . . . .

:lmao:

I thought the same thing but at least the thread hasn't broken down into trashing anyone!

My Wish List for Ms. Bilby:

1. Improve & increase communication with ALL Members (as in, I still have not received ANY email from DVC notifying me of any of these changes in the company administration). Thank you to Graydon, other fellow DISers & the Orlando Sentinel, for keeping me informed.

2. Ensure that EVERY check-in results in satisfied Members (I would say that the percentage of satisfied guests checking into WDW hotels far exceeds those checking into DVCs these days). Upgrade Mousekeeping & Maintainence as well as CM responses to 'issues.' As someone said, even HAMPTON INNS does this! We shouldn't be made to feel like we're getting LESS for being Owner-Members!!! SPIT-SPOT is what we deserve!!!

3. Increase & improve TRADITIONS (or other training programs) to reinforce Mr. Disney's expectations for Cast Member performances. THAT, more than anything, is why we bought DVC over other timeshare products. It's the MAGIC!!!!!

Please make sure there is toilet paper in the bathroom when we check in. It is annoying to have to call 2 times in an hour, each time being told it was on its way, and then have to make a mad sprint to the lobby of AKV to use the toilet because there is nothing to use in the room that will not clog the toilet. We had to wait 4 hrs for 1 roll that was on its way. I have been coming to disney for over 20 years and have started to think that Bonnet Creek will be a better use of our add-on money. More discounts would be nice on dining and park tickets like automatic park hoppers at no extra cost or free no expiration. We eat in our room because the food sucks and costs too much! You may think you have us but there is always a sucker out there to buy our points should we become dissatisfied.

Keep the AP discount!! Or better yet, get us an even better AP discount deal!

Clean rooms are great too!

Poor woman.

Many of us here are not expecting "pie in the sky" perks. Dreaming of them maybe.. Frankly if I didn't get any perks, it wouldn't truly affect my satisfaction. It's always a very nice thing to have, not a requirement and I don't expect it. If they want me to tell everyone what a great value DVC is, well....

What I do expect is the same quality that I remember vividly when we checked in for the first time in 1992, in a two bedroom villa and were blown away. As for free tickets, been there, done that. We had free tickets for 8 years. They were great. Talk about sticker shock in the year 2000! Honestly, the free tickets basically paid for our initial investment and were probably one of the main factors in our purchase decision as timeshares in the late 80s and 90s had such a horrific reputation. Free tickets aren't coming back, I accept that, and would never expect it in this day and age. Anyway, our experience with Disney Quality, and Disney's stellar (at the time) reputation coupled with what we felt was a fair price (about 50.00 a point) plus the free tickets made the sale for us.

As long term members who LOVE our Disney vacations, and truly love OKW with no reqrets purchasing our membership, I can honestly say, we probably wouldn't buy today, with the prices as they are, the perks gone and most of all the decline in that magical "Disney" Quality. I am actually sorry to say that, but it's true for us. Maybe if some of the magic were to return, I would not feel that way anymore. I really hope it will. And to those who say sell it, not yet. We've tossed it around a little but we still love our vacations and are hoping that the new management can right this ship.

That's what I really hope for Miss Bilby to do.

The only perk that is VERY important to me is the AP discount.
PLEASE keep this....without it we would not vacation at WDW more than once a year.

Yes please this. :) The whole reason we started taking multiple trips a year was to make sure we used that AP! Before the AP discount, we were happy only going once a year.

Ok here is my list.
1- MONTHLY AP PAYMENT PLAN OPTION LIKE FL RESIDENTS!!!
2- Discount on Meal Plan when others are getting free meal plan, or a bonus like free appetizer etc.
3- Online booking. I love the phone folks. But I also hate trying to work their schedule into mine.
4- Dont you TOUCH my AP discount
5- Bring back the old logo
6- Free wifi.. Yes I'll admit, if you ever are in a Disney Hotel and see a secure wireless network titled 626 the hubs and I and our airport express are somewhere near you because we create a wireless network w/ our free wired interweb
7- Update the DVC site, kill all the flash and music, make it more informative, easier to maneuver and create a multi platform mobile version
8- Disney owns the Disney Stores and DVC. I WANT A DVC DISNEY STORE DISCOUNT! W/ no min purchase amount like w/ my chase.
9- Leave Dee Vee be. I find her adorable.. I also have a gma complex as I have none and see her as a nutty gma type.
10- Better menus at the hotels counter service. Less sandwiches, more options.
11- For the LOVE of GAWD either move the gift shop in SSR to another location and make the Artist Pallet line system longer, or put someone in there 24/7 to regulate the specials who don't understand your new webbing barrier lines.
12- I heard tale of free member gifts yearly. Was this a myth, or something they phased out. Regardless I give DVC a good load of money for 2 homeports, and buy enough DVC merch in parks w/ my card, a free pin or vinyl saying we appreciate you would be nice. Heck my D23 magazine has come w/ several freebies in the last year and they only cost me $75 a year..
13- Better DVC gear. The HELLS BELLS I am paying $50+ for a TORN and THIN sweatshirt.. seriously QUALITY.. I DID pay $50 for the one 3 years ago and LOVE it.
14- The Kim Possible DVC preview several years ago was AWESOME. I hope they do that with other new rides and events.
15- Remember one thing. Regardless DVC I love you. I tell everyone about you. When people pick my brain about the parks I say "DO THE TOUR". I don't care about the referral program. I care about people enjoying WDW and Disney the way I do w/ the excellence and wonder that is DVC. So just remember, I <3 <3 <3 <3 you, so please don't let me down and embarrass me. ;)

Ok after some more thinking here is my wish list.

1. Keep AP discount but also offer discount on regular park tickets as well. I would love to buy a 10 day no expire ticket at a discount.
2. Wifi in the rooms.
3. TIW without having to have the AP.

I like all of those.

4) No difference in membership (ie bought resale or direct it is the same membership). I bought direct, I just hate tiered systems of different level of membership. Member means member with all benefits and perks of that. If they are worried about resale they have ROFR that they need to take advantage of to influence the market, instead of impacting members.

Here here on sweeping etc, we run dish washer, vacuum, put towels in one spot, empty trash etc etc. I feel I have a vested interest in my ownership.

I do all that and even bring along a small screw driver to tighten little things :magnify:(like cabinet knobs and those old blinds on OKW balcony doors) just because they drive me nuts and I don't want to take up maintenance's time:hourglass for something I can do in 5 minutes. When I check into a villa, I feel it's my home (for however long I am there) and treat it as such.

I agree with most of the "wish lists" that have been posted. I don't want more, I just don't want less than what I had when I bought.:sad2:

Here's what I'd like to see:

1. A clean and well maintained room available by at least 4:00.
2. Each room well-stocked with what should be there (towels, paper products, soap, cooking utensils, etc.)
3. Steady, but not necessarily fast, growth of DVC resorts outside of Walt Disney World...in particular, National Harbour, Lake Tahoe, New York City.

1. Monthly payment plan options for WDW/DL or Premier Passport with continued discounts.
2. WiFi
3. Cleanliness and Quality

BTW, I am just back from a stay at Disneyland... I can tell you the Disney Magic is alive and well on the West Coast... Much better than in FL...

My list is simple:

- Dump Deevy Cee - she's an embarrassment and waste of money.
- Fix Disney files.
- Change... just because it can be done, doesn't mean it should be done. Bring back the old logo. Much like the mistake Gap made with their logo change, same goes for the DVC logo. The new version looks plastic and makes it look like DVC is a shrink wrapped package to be sold on the Disney channel between the juice box and Hanna Montana commercials.
- Make sure the excellent CMs are rewarded. We love 'em and want to keep 'em.

:lmao:

I thought the same thing but at least the thread hasn't broken down into trashing anyone!

Give it two weeks. when this poor woman does not start giving us stuff for no good reason but "we want it" she's taking Mr. Lewis's place as the
"worst person in the world"

Two things about your list, first I still do not understand why people hate Dee Vee Cee so much, and two, make those 100 points given to us dues free for life. I cannot afford anymore dues, I already pay $2500 per year.

That was your choice not DVCs. Surely you do not think that is a realistic wish. :sad2:

Those not receiving emails, check you spam, make sure DVC address is added to your email receiving list and if you still do not get mail, talk to Member Services.

All I want is what I paid for a room that is clean and is well maintained.

I am amazed how many people place discounts over quality! When we joined DVC it was to have rooms at Disney deluxe resorts for our vacations, when we joined costco we joined for discounts!

Just a clean well maintained room in a timely fashion... it is what I paid for and I am sick of needing to be sure I pack cleaning products before a stay so I can reclean if I need to. In July my OKW fridge handles were so dirty they were black...it was driving me nuts to look at it from the sofa and I had to grab the lysol wipes and go to town. I should not have to do that on vacation! Got my room pretty late, but was frustrated when they knocked on my door on checkout day to ask when I was leaving at 7am!

IF there are perks, which I love, please make sure we know what's what and are not surprised by changes, ie the valet parking thing!

Poor woman.

Well to quote Jim Lewis, there are DVC members and there DVC fanatics, sorry guys and gals, if you are on the list above you are way off base with reality.
