OK Dis’ers, let's make a list of things we like and don’t like about our DVC for Claire Bilby, our new executive leader. Keep it straight and simple, nice and clean, with no flaming or throwing anyone under the bus. If we make it right, our new leader may have an opportunity to see this.

1. We love DVC or we wouldn’t be concerned

2. We need to maintain or return to the position of number one in point style timeshares

3. We need to improve housekeeping. Nothing is more deflating to our vacation than the first impression of our room being “not ready” when we walk in.

4. 90% of the CMs are wonderful. It is the 10% that ruin it at times.

5. I don’t need lots of perks nor want them when the basics aren’t met.

6. Your best marketing is satisfied and thrilled members.

Ms. Bilby, thanks for listening.

My list is very small.
1. Please get wireless in the WDW resorts. The DL resorts have it, so WDW should too.

2. Get rid of Dee Vee Cee please.

3. Add Club levels to new DVC resorts or add on's.

4. Now here is the one that won't happen, but hey it is a wish list. Give us all 100 points as a way to say sorry to the membership for having to put up with Jim Lewis

Two things about your list, first I still do not understand why people hate Dee Vee Cee so much, and two, make those 100 points given to us dues free for life. I cannot afford anymore dues, I already pay $2500 per year.

I hate Dee Vee Cee so much because I find her so annoying and when she speeks I'd rather hear the sound of a dental drill. About the point being dues free, I just did not want to push it.

Dee Vee Cee is so tacky and annoying. How anyone thought the concept was a good idea is beyond me.

For me it's not hate...it's annoyance. For this creative company, I feel it's an embarrasment that this is the "face/personality" they have chosen.

I saw her perform at the Doorway to dreams in Shaumburg Il. and I thought she was hilarious. Still do not get it.

Simple:
1) Clean and working rooms. We pay a premium for this space and the outside timeshares are kicking DVC's butt in perceived cleanliness and quality. I don't want to check-in and have to call about a dirty room, burnt out light bulb, missing pots/pans/dishes. I pay a LOT (too much) money to have that all taken care of.

2) See #1, this would be a significant step forward

3) Don't make the membership pay for the mistakes of the past. Whatever JL and friends did, don't put it on the backs of your highest paying loyalists to fix.

4) Same discounts as an AP holder. We may not visit the parks as frequently as a regular AP holder, but we're dropping huges sums of money on Disney on a regular basis for 40+ years, more than your average AP holder. Allow us the same perks.

5) See #4, and I think TiW is the first of those things you need to offer to DVC at the $75 (discounted) rate. Want to get owners out of the villas and spending more? Incent them to do so. A discounted meal is more revenue than food bought down at Publix.

6) Tell us what the heck is going on. Don't let us park our car and then charge us the next day. Things happen and change, some people will like it some won't, but we should all at least know about it.

7) Keep TOTWL for the membership. Open it up to all members currently staying on points (not just BLT) and have a gathering place for members to mingle. If crowds get too large (haven't seen it yet), then restrict to BLT guests during those times (or nightly during the fireworks if need be).

That will get things started. The discounts would be nice but aren't the bulk of my concerns.

the only thing I would like is to

#1 stop rearranging points !! I bought just enough to vacation how I want but I can't do that anymore because my week I bought for is now 2 points higher. be a perpetual borrower ?? Not my choice.

The AP discounts would be nice but getting rid of all the mistakes being made in booking would be better. I checked in once, told they would call when room was ready. I called them at 5 to ask and they told me I canceled my reservation. WHAT !!! Took over an hour to fix. Plus the debacle with getting pushed out of Club level weeks before I'm due to arrive. My latest is my Dl room being messed up and not showing the right number of people and then they changed all my kids to adults so I was over room max.

The only perk that is VERY important to me is the AP discount.
PLEASE keep this....without it we would not vacation at WDW more than once a year.

And Please please please...get WFI!!!...It is so annoying!....Also a few more channels on the TV would be very nice..(it is a home from home after all;))

Make it more beneficial for us in the u.k to be able to use our points rather than booking a package.
Currently i can book ssr or okw with a 45% discount and get free dining which will work out cheaper than using my points.
I know people keep saying these discounts and free dining wont last but its been 3 or 4 years now.
It just does'nt make us as dvc owners feel "special" anymore.

If you are reading this claire then good luck in your new position.

As long as WiFi is added and wired remains, then I support adding wireless. I'm too convinced that there would be too many dead spots or overloaded (sloooow) hot spots in wi-fi if that were the only option.

1. A clean room, that has been maintained.

2. The annual pass discount. Makes a big difference if you are coming multiple times in a year.

Ok after some more thinking here is my wish list.

1. Keep AP discount but also offer discount on regular park tickets as well. I would love to buy a 10 day no expire ticket at a discount.
2. Wifi in the rooms.
3. TIW without having to have the AP.

For those of us who may not be able to do to WDW more than once a year, some kind of price break on the Magic Your Way passes would be nice too :thumbsup2

1. Clean Villas with working appliances and furnished/stocked according to the specs given.

2. Timely Information, I know changes will happen but we, as owners, shouldn't have to find out always at the last minute.

3. Scrap Disney Files, go back to what we had, Vacation Magic (which I read cover to cover) or better yet, create a new & more informative DVC magazine about DVC!

4. I would love it if they intergrated when possible a DVC forum for us to vote and have our opinions considered on a few issues, whatever they may be. It would be nice to feel that we are at least heard, even if we aren't the decision makers or the deciding factor. They could intergrate this in our "New" DVC Magazine!

5. The resorts should have wireless.

Love my AP discount! Please keep it.
A clean/maintained room.
A dining plan that you can just book the number of days you want and it is good for the stay/ without checking in and out.

My biggest wish, and it's kind of a broad one, is to bring back the Disney Quality that everyone who loves Disney is willing to pay the premium for. I think in recent years, and unfortunately it's not just with DVC, the Disney Quality is fading. I realize a "What Would Walt Do" type of business model may not work 40+ years after his passing, but still a lot of what made Disney great was the quality of the "Disney" experience. I think perception for many Disney fans is starting to catch up with reality. I know it has been for me. I have been to Disney more years that I can count, out of the last 31 years that we've gone at least once a year, and I have noticed a difference over the past 5-6 years. Just walk into some of the restrooms in the parks and you can see it. Anyway, I digress.

For the DVC, please bring back the Disney "quality" many of us grew up with and loved and what prompted us to buy into the DVC to be "part of the family" By this I mean, for example, bring housekeeping back to "old-school" Disney standards. Make sure everything in the room works right before a guest checks in and is spotless. I realize we can call and get things fixed as we notice them in a room, but I have to take care of enough things at home, I don't want to have to take care of things on vacation. I really don't want to find hair the bathroom and have to wait for a housekeeper to come and clean the bathroom (again), when it should have been done right the first time. I realize some things can go unnoticed, and stuff happens, but there are many that a simple pass through, maybe by a supervisor of housekeeping, could check and find. When there is a problem in the room, make sure it's fixed fast, and right, the first time, and with as little disruption to the guest as possible. Remodels of the resorts should be done with the same high quality standards as they did with the original fittings.

The other issue we had on a recent trip is that while we had a lot of great cast members, we did have a few who I would say were downright surly. Make sure the 5% - 10% of cast members who don't exemplify the Disney Experience don't ruin it for the other 90% - 95% of cast members who shine. Maybe with new management this will come, maybe some of these obviously unhappy cast members were unhappy because of what was happening behind the scenes, who knows.

A nice to have, but definitely not a deal breaker for me, is add some perks. Give DVC members the same level of "love" that you give to Annual Pass holders. I realize the DVC members are committed to the product until 2042 or longer, while annual passport holders have to be resold each year, but as some of Disney's best customers and biggest fans (or we wouldn't have bought into the DVC) show us some of that love too. DVC members can be some of your best salespeople.

Revamp the sometimes condescending Disney Files. This will probably happen naturally with the new management. Talk to the members not at them with it. More information about our resorts would be appreciated.

Please improve the online access on the DVC members. Maybe this is coming, but please bring the DVC member website into the new millennium.
