Try eating a spoonful of peanut butter :) The consistency of it actually helps to stop hiccups. It's one of the only things that works for me (the other being a spoonful or packet of sugar)

I'm going to have to try the peanut butter thing next time!

Of course, that implies that we have peanut butter in the house; which we don't.
 
I'm sure almond butter would work, too :) I think it has something to do with the consistency of it.
