LAST

Kimberly and I had a DISmeet yesterday at the new house. I'll let her give you her take on it, there were some quite amusing parts... :lmao:

I think I have a last or two in me before the night is over

Thanks! December is always more chore time. Seems more this year. Kim must be traveling. I can't get very far....:lmao:

We just left Universal Hollywood about 30 minutes ago and are driving back to Vegas, so yes, we are traveling. I had a great time visiting Alison. She is one of my favorites on the DIS, because she is so open and warm. The patience she has for Xander is astounding. Anyone who has met him knows he is a handful! He is such a free spirit. Luckily, Connor is a lot easier. The two combined though can be A LOT.

My husband drove me and the boys to Alison's house. She lives less than 30 minutes to Disneyland. Her house is AMAZING. If you do not believe me, just ask Xander. He will tell you that it is the best house he has EVER seen. He wanted to move in, so I told him we would come back and get him in three months (our next trip to Disneyland). I watched him run all over her house getting into things without permission (shaking my head in embarrassment at times). I also thanked my lucky stars she had not moved all of her amazing collectibles in. No doubt they would not have been safe with my boys. Her friend, Darcy, who was also very patient with Xander even agreed with me when I said it was a good thing all of her breakable things were not there.

Connor shared in Xander's excitement at times. He also dropped his car about 10 times (luckily, it was plastic). Crap eventually took him to the car, because he was getting antsy. It was probably for the best as we may have needed to fish him out if the pool. He loved it so much that he kept getting dangerously close.

The Tiki Bar is amazing. I love the kitchen. Xander could not get over the walk in fridge. It will be even more beautiful when she is all done. I told her I would leave the boys with Crap if she invites me back over. After that wild visit, I would not be surprised if she did not. They were beyond excited to be there, and that excitement could have resulted in broken items. Xander dropped a very impressive looking cane, so he was taking a shot at it anyway.

Thanks again for having us over, Alison. It meant a lot to me that you invited us over. Xander really, really enjoyed you. Darcy made his day too, since she let him win the second race.

It wasn't that bad! :rotfl2: The only time I really fretted was when Xander said that he wanted to turn on the "Mickey and Minnie's Tree Farm" sculpture that we took out of the box. You are definitely invited over again, but Xander and Conner may need to be tied up once the collection is out of the box! :rotfl2:

We will have them all in glass cases (less dusting), so if we can keep him out of the glass cases, he'll be fine. I didn't want to say it in front of Xander, but the cane was very heavy duty, it's a Civil War reenactor's cane and can take some abuse. I mean heck, it's a wood tree branch!

You guys were great and Xander was really pretty funny, I know you were horror struck with his actions, but he really didn't phase me that much.

Oh and LAST!

This just proves that you are as awesome and patient as I said. Crap even said when we left that the boys were too wild there and you were amazingly cool with them. I know Xander was excited, but I get mortified when it seems like his manners fall out the window. He was all over Angela too. Apparently, he just loves meeting new people. I had my third, fourth and fifth (sixth if Darcy is a DISer) DISmeets yesterday (all at the same time). I think you may have mentioned once that she was. The name sounds familiar.

Xander was a little wild at that one too. Sherry and I thought he might crack his skull when he was climbing up the wall while it was wet. She was very patient with him too.

The worst moment for me was when he reached for the tree as Darcy was cutting it open with the razor. Of course, she was very gracious about it (she has to be to work with so many kids). I still would not have even minded if she asked him what the heck he was thinking. He obviously wasn't. Thank goodness that cane was sturdy. If it was not, he probably would have broken it. It looks very thick, impressive and expensive.

I know the three of us were so careful opening that tree. When we left, I told Xander that he should not have lunged for it. If he broke it, I would have made him pay for it. He has a birthday party coming up this weekend. I would have seriously collected his birthday money rather than depositing it.

I owe you a housewarming gift, because you were gracious enough to invite us over. If you invite me back, I will have to put some thought in the gift. Like I said, you have everything. I still may leave the kids if we go back over anytime soon. Even behind glass, your treasures are too rare and valuable to be near my kids.

Nice to hear that you had a great trip Kim and were able to go to Alison's house. I got to read your posts on the Christmas thread and it was nice that you and your family had a great time and were able to meet a lot of DISers during your trip.
