A Lancaster/Golden PreTrip Report

I (age 17) have never been to WDW and neither have my two younger brothers who are twins age 9.
We are from Ga and live in the metro Atlanta area
When I was little my family talked about disney world but when my brothers were born it just never happened.
Now in 19 days we will be in POR having our first trip
Let me introduce everyone....

My uncle Matt. He is 26 and lives alone. He is more of an older brother to me than an uncle. He has been to WDW several times and thanks to his well paying job decided about 3 months ago that he was gonna take me and my family to Disney!!!! (he will kill me if he sees this though since he HATES his picture taken and i tend to take it anyways )

This is me. Im as i said 17 a rising senior in high school. I have all honors courses and will be in 3 AP classes next year. I love science and hope to attend Emory University here in Atlanta. My favorite Disney movie would be a tie between Lion King and Beauty and the Beast.

This is my mom Nancy (gapeachie). She is also a diser but i have more free time since im on summer break so im on here a lot more. She is whats binds our family together by being a supermom. She is currently working and a student planning on becoming an accountant. Matt is her brother. She has been to disney i think once in her life. She is very organized and likes to plan to have an idea about what we are doing esp with my brother...

This is my dad Brian. He is super pumped for disney however he is more of a go with the flow guy like Matt. He works 2 jobs. He also has only been to disney once in his life.

This is Kyle. He is so much like me its scary yet we annoy each other to death. He is great in school and loves building, drawing, and writing stories. The very first movie he and his twin saw in the movies was Finding Nemo and it is still one of their favorites. He is looking forward to the safari the most.

And last but not least this is Corey. He is High Functioning Autistic. He is a handful but will always give you a hug or a kiss. His FAVORITE disney movie is Cars. He is quite handy with modern technology. He loves the computer, tv, and Texting!!! keep in mind he is only 9 and no he doesnt have his own phone but he will text with yours . He loves dogs and for some reason all dogs seem to love him even though he can be a little rough with them.

my mom and brothers made this countdown 3 days ago. She took a poster board and the mickey shaped paint chips from home depot and glued them letting my brothers place them. Then she numbered them. Now each morning we place a disney sticker as the days go by.

So far we dont really have any plans as to what we will be doing in Disney. We are not making any ADRs because we dont wanna make a commitment to one restuarant when we have no idea how anyone is going to be feeling that day and if Corey is in meltdown stage . Matt has suggested that we may just do 1 counterservice and 1 tableservice meal a day but as i said we dont have anything in stone. Although before we even made the reservations Matt said we WILL eat at Rainforest Cafe . I suggested we have the Volcanos for dessert because one of my school friends said i have to and now Kyle, Matt and my Dad all want to have their own volcano to see who can eat the whole thing Matt also said we most likely eat at Toko Dining. He and I both love sushi and recently turned my dad onto it . We will also be eating at the San Angel Inn because everyone in my family likes mexican food
and because Matt said so haha.

We were sad to find out the Space Mountain will be closed while we are there. My mom and dad havent ridden it and because of the closing they still wont and my brothers and I wont as well.

The day we leave is the only day we really have planned out. We will leave once my dad gets off his night shift and Matt comes over hopefully before 9 am. We will be driving and using a rental car. We will have 6 peoples stuff for a weeks time and all the other stuff that we need for the trip including electronics and breakfast/snack foods stuffed into 1 minivan

Matt and My dad will sleep some hopefully on the ride down. I being crazy with my camera will be taking pics the ENTIRE trip!!! We should arrive at Disney between 3-5 pm. Depending on traffic and stops. Once we arrive and checkin to POR we will unload, check out our rooms (hopefully close together since Matt didnt request adjoining or that they be close together). Then we will chill at one of the pools for the evening.

Of course the first full day will be spent at MK but after that we we havent decided. Itll be exicting to watch Corey and Kyle ride the rides (dumbo will prob be the first) because THEY HAVE NEVER RIDDEN ANY RIDE IN THEIR LIVES! not even the kind at the local fairs. Then of course we will watch the fireworks.
