I have to admit, I'm a lurker on this thread. I read the original one, wasn't going to say anything since I know how these threads can go.

I'm not even sure which team I'm on because I can see both sides & without actually BEING there, I'm not sure which way it was. I'm leaning toward team Codger.

Then I happened to see catch how this thread went...so I had to come check it out this morning to get the next episode of "How the thread turned" (I was reading it late last night & LITERALLY laughed out loud at some of them and that's rare for me with the internet!). I think it seeing Team Codger since my DD is Twilight obsessed. That just cracked me up.

I don't think you want to know unless you want an old witchy woman whining at you -- let's just say I would probably be the grouchy old lady as of yesterday....FIL not doing well & just wanting for that dreaded phone call. Bah Humbug!

On the plus side, I now have a forced vacation this summer to CT for my niece getting married but I'm hoping our meal places of choice are Cracker Barrel vs. McDonald's since believe it or not -- Cracker Barrel is CHEAPER for us. I'm excited about going though. Although, if our family shows up between my other niece/nephew & my kids -- everyone should just RUN and leave any restaraunt we show up at. I'm positive chaos of some sort will ensue.

I do have to let you all know, I'm not as incoherent as my first post appeared. I re-read it and thought what in the world did I write? It makes no sense whatsoever. I'm pretty sure it was that pesky habit of thinking something, writing it, going to change my wording/thinking and not *quite* getting all the old thought off the screen...so it becomes jumbled. Either that or just not enough caffeine in my system yet when I posted. Take your pick.

It was McDonald's!!! In my world, that's self explanatory! Unless it's breakfast, my DH doesn't eat McDonald's -- we basically had to drag him kicking & screaming to go there for my little guy's birthday since that is where he choose for his birthday meal. I think he got a chocolate shake & ate some of my French Fries (which really aren't as good as they used to be....EEK...I'm turning INTO the Codger! ).
