We attended the DLR event on 7/3 and happened to had a trip to Oahu planned for July 4th weekend...we were at the Ko'Olina Resort area for the Paradise Cove Luau....saw the area, saw the construction and thought the area and resort was great :goodvibes

We actually go to Hawaii quite a bit (living here on the West Coast) and forgot how much we disliked Honolulu due to the crowds....Ko'Olina seemed so peaceful compared to Honolulu and the sunsets there are beautiful :thumbsup2

Long story short...we forgot all about adding on until Friday--we saw a really awesome SSR resale contract, called TTS and it had already been snatched up for sale :rolleyes1

Talked about it some more this weekend and decided to add on at Aulani instead for "layovers" to Maui and long weekend trips. We're SO excited!

(I have some construction pics I took while we were there...I'll post them once I figure out how to do so...How do I add the Aulani sign to my sig?)

Congrats to you.
We went to the DVC Preview the other day at the Contemporary and it really looks nice. Just loved the pool area.

AllyBri,

Do you mind telling me what incentives were offered at the WDW event? We'll be at AKV in September too and plan on stopping by CR to see if there are any Aulani models--was there a miniature scale model or a life-size room/model available? Thanks!

:cool1::cool1::cool1:

We Just added on at Aulani at the resort in Hawaii

We now have 220 Aulani points cant wait until next year:banana::banana:

pixiedust:E komo mai!pixiedust: (welcome home) and congratulations on your purchase.

ALOHA !!! and welcome home!!!

We were signing our paperwork today and getting the stuff back to DVC vis Fed Ex.

A package showed up from DVC yesterday - it was an addendum to our closing docs. At first I thought....ok, what did they forget to have me sign......

On further review is was confirmation that our contract was one of the first 600 so we were officially one of the founding members of Aulani. :cool1: :yay::cheer2:

Congrat's!!!!:cool1: We were so tempted to add on. Lucky you are on the West Coast makes it much more doable. Enjoy:goodvibes.

Aloha Neighbor! Congratulations! We are West Coasters too, owners at GCV and just bought into Aulani. Still signing paperwork...:cool2:

We got that package also - and I thought the same thing! Was pleasantly surprised to open it and find founding member info! :yay: :beach:

Congratulations to everyone who has bought points at Aulani. We also have bought Aulani, too. No, not points, but we bought t-shirts from Disney that show Mickey and Minnie in a tropical setting and we personalized them to say "Aulani Ko Olina." That might be as close as we'll get to owning Aulani for awhile.

Here is how I add images to my Signature line:

  1. Find an image in someone else's signature that I want.
  2. Right click on image and save as image to my computer.
  3. Sign on to photobucket.com and upload image to my Photobucket album (its free to set up an account on photobucket.com; you just need to register).
  4. Once the image is uploaded to photobucket, I click on the image which brings up the "Share this image" dialog box.
  5. From the dialog box, copy the IMG CODE.
  6. Sign onto the disboards and access my User CP.
  7. Edit my signature and paste the IMG CODE.

There are probably faster, easier, or better ways to add an image to the signature line, but this method works for me.

For those of you who have bought Aulani, I am interested in knowing the Unit number, number of points, and Use Year for your assigned Unit. I have a thread that explains why I'm collecting the information (see http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2505392). Some Aulani owners have already responded, but I would like to hear from more. Thanks in advance!
