A June 2011 PTR! (5/31 Top 5 things to do while waiting for Disney!!!)

Aaw hope you are feeling better.

I love the top 5 ways to beat the heat! :thumbsup2

I'm looking forward to trying the Mickey Ice cream bars and have factored in loads of breaks to relax when the heat gets too much.

Yay on it being 2 weeks! Look forward to the villains list :)

Glad your feeling better and Congrats on the graduation!!!

Love your "top 5" 's!!! :thumbsup2

Thank you! I didn't actually graduate though. I have to wait a whole year for mine. :sad2:

I'm sorry you were sick, especially since it sounds like you had a lot on your plate.

Your top 5 tips on staying cool sound good. Going back to the resort midday is one of the smartest things you can do. I saw a lot of families that were burned out and miserable in the evenings. They kept complaining, "It's so hot here, I just wanna call it quits for the night."

The freezing the water bottle is also a really helpful tip. There's nothing better than drinking a nice cold bottle of water when it's ridiculously hot.

Your trip is getting closer!!!! I bet May is going by so slowly for you.

Thank you! Although I was actualy relieved that I was sick now instead of for my trip. I kept saying well at least i'm not sick for disney :rotfl: May was going by pretty fast since I had so much to do. But now that I'm free I know this is going to be the longest 2 weeks of my life:laughing:

Aaw hope you are feeling better.

Thank you! I am feeling much better. I'm just trying to get rid of a cough that won't go away. And breaks are definitely a must in heat like that. I'm sure you will LOVE the mickey ice cream bars. :thumbsup2

Before I do my Top 5 I would like to celebrate because as of today I am officially in single digits!!!!!
:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Only 9 days until I leave! I was able to complete my online check-in yesterday. Now I don't know what to do with myself until then

Now onto. . .

My TOP 5 Disney Villains

5. Jafar
Jafar.jpg

Like all of the villains on this list, Jafar wants power. His ability to manipulate, hypnotize, and change forms makes him truly evil.

4. Ursula
Ursula.jpg

Ursula is a great character. First I love that she is half octopus. Her most evil moment came when she stole Ariel's voice to use it for her own gain and what would have been Ariel's demise. :sad2:

3. Cruella De Vil
Cruella.jpg

Only a truly evil purpose could want to kill puppies and make them into clothing. Her name says it all.

2. Maleficent
maleficent.jpg

Maleficent sentenced Aurora to death because she wasn't invited to her christening when she was a baby :scared1: (That almost sounds like something off of The Real Housewives of New Jersey :lmao:) Who knows what she would do if someone really made her angry.

1. Scar
Scar.jpg

Unlike some of the other villains, Scar can't transform himself. He doesn't have any powers either. However, he killed his brother and then convinced his nephew that it was his fault all so he could become king. If that isn't evil then I don't know what is.

I only have one more TOP 5 left before I leave for Disney! :cool1: Does anyone have any suggestions for what my last Top 5 list should be? :confused3 I'm stuck at the moment.

Great villain picks! Hmmm... top 5 topics...I can't think of any off the top of my head, but maybe I'll come up with one for you later.

9 days left!!! :cool1::cheer2: :thumbsup2

That's so exciting! The week before is the worst, because it's still too early to pack, but it's so close you can't think of anything else!

:woohoo: on being in single digits!!! :dance3:

Great villains list - they are all mean and scary! :scared1:

Have you done top 5 places to eat at Disney World. I seem to always be drawn to food! :rotfl: I'm sure whatever you choose to list will be good.

Hey! Looks like we'll be going around the same time as you.

Just wondering, have you gotten your stuff in the mail yet? If so, what did you get in your package?

We are renting a car, so will we still get luggage tags, or no?
I am getting really anxious about the fact that we have not received our package yet. It would help to know what to expect, if anything?

Thanks in advance. :)

You should have received your "Mickey mail" by now. The package should include 3D luggage tags and some discount coupons for restaurants in the area.

You need to give Disney a call a.s.a.p. Most receive their package between 20 and 30 days out.

You are so right. I am dying because I literally have nothing to do. I've been trying to think of anything that I could do for my trip. :sad2:

Food is a great idea! :rotfl: I'm right there with you. lol

Yes we got everything in the mail. We received our luggage tags and a booklet with some coupons and we also got our yellow magical express tags and a booklet explaining how everything worked.

I would assume that if you didn't sign up for magical express then you wouldn't get the yellow tags but they might send them anyways, you never know. I would call Disney and double check if you haven't received anything. If you didn't book a package deal then that may be the reason for it.

I hope you're as excited as I am! Our trips are so close. I'm trying to find ways to occupy my time until then since I'm out of school. :rotfl:

You're welcome. Yes, everything is going well. I'm so excited to be leaving in 13 days! Now i'm in a panic to get all of the last minutes taken care of before we leave. I'm currently working on a custom autograph book for my daughter thanks to the creativity of the some of the DIS members and I still have some minor shopping to do all while trying to get a home "tenant ready" before the 1st of June.

In exactly 2 days I will be on my way to Disney World!!!:banana::banana: :yay::yay::yay: :cool1::cool1::cool1: :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: :dance3:

I am pretty much packed up and I'm currently cleaning everything. I did all of my laundry yesterday :thumbsup2. I will have to make a run to the bank and do my online check in for the plane tomorrow and we should be good to go!

I decided to do my top 5 on things to do while you wait for your trip. I'm mainly concentrating on those last two weeks because that is the hardest time.
You're done planning, now what do you do?

5. Do Online Check-in
onlinecheckin.jpg

At the 10 days mark you can officially check into your resort. Although it doesn't take much time, it is something that you can look forward to. Plus it makes you feel like you have completed something else for your trip!

4. Go over Your Plans
Mickey-Mouse-Notepad.jpg

I like to check and re-check my plans. First, it gives me something to do :lmao: but I like to make sure that I have them in my head and that I've thought of absolutely everything that I can think of. Plus it'll get you excited for what's to come.

3. Catch up on your Disney Movies
disneymovies.jpg

Now would be as good a time as any to go through some Disney movies. Then when you go on your trip you'll be familiar with most of the characters that you'll see.

2. Clean Clean Clean!
cleaningsupplies.jpg

I don't like to come back to a messy house after a vacation. I just like to come back and know that I don't have anything to do (besides unpack). So in those last couple of days you can take up time by making everything nice and shiny.

1. Visualize
minniemousethinking.jpg

I just like to picture what we will be doing, what the restaurants will look like, etc. It gets the excitement going. It's also fun to look at youtube videos of the rides. A great way to get into a disney state of mind :thumbsup2

You're soooo close! Just a few more days left!:thumbsup2:cool1::woohoo:

I love watching youtube videos of the rides, it gets me excited to go on them.
And I agree that it's always nice to come home to a clean house. Once you return from vacations, you already feel as if your behind due to being gone so long, that the last thing you need is a messy house.

:woohoo: on it being 2 days!!! :dance3:

Watching Disney movies and cleaning before you go seems like a good idea. I am already visualising our trip so will probably have been and come back (in my mind!) by the time it arrives.

Have a great trip :goodvibes

CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN.... yeah that's what I should be doing right now but intead I'm on here :rotfl2:

Exactly. I have a hard enough time unpacking  I don't need anything else to do.

:rotfl: I definitely understand. I think I've mentally taken our trip about 100 times now.

CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN.... yeah that's what I should be doing right now but intead I'm on here :rotfl2:

 I think that's why it takes me so long to clean. Every 5 minutes I start wondering what's new on the Dis:rotfl:

In less than 24 hours I will be on my way to Disney:banana::banana::banana:
The wait went by WAY faster than I thought it would. I don't have much left to do today. This morning I checked in for our flight, printed the boarding passes and paid the baggage fee. I have to Finish cleaning (of course) and make sure that I haven't forgotten anything.

WOOHOO I'm finally going to Disney World!! :rotfl:

You're going to Disney World tomorrow!!!!:cool1::banana::woohoo::cheer2:

One more day left!!!

I hope you have a wonderful time on your trip! Eat a premium Mickey ice cream bar for me!
Let me know when you begin your TR, so that I can follow along.

HAVE FUN!!!
