A June 2011 PTR! (5/31 Top 5 things to do while waiting for Disney!!!)

On Friday I came home to find my personalized maps in the mail! Like I've said before, there is nothing like getting Disney mail. I thought I would post pictures of how some of them turned out. Sorry about the quality; I took the pictures with my phone.

I thought they looked great. They even come with a set of stickers if you want to mark more of your favorite rides and a sticker to put on the resort that you're staying at for that trip.

Side Note: Hopefully I will be able to update more frequently now. My school work has seemed to calm down for now.:worship: On Saturday I will be running the Anthem 5k as the first race of the triple crown in my efforts to get in shape :) So I will definitely be reporting on that. AND I'm almost down to double digits!!! :cool1: Only 102 days until Disney!

Your maps look great. I might have to order a new set. I didn't realize they change the design from year to year. Last year's design was completely different. Thanks for posting these. I will have to order them so that our Disney mail continues to arrive and makes waiting for the trip easier. :thumbsup2

Joining in! Love, love, love that little booklet--I'm thinking I should do one for my oldest--she always wants her information in her hands!

Those personalized maps are much more in-depth than I pictured them being! I imagined them just being a simple old park map similar to one you'd find in the parks.
Glad you were able to get them in the mail and brighten up your day with Mickey Mail!

Good luck on your 5k this weekend!!! :cheer2:

I didn't realize that they changed either. And disney mail does seem to make the wait go by quicker!

Welcome and thanks fo reading! My DBF loved the book and it was really easy to do once you figured out how everything works. I would definitely recommend it. Plus it gives you something to work on while you're waiting on your trip! :thumbsup2

Have just found your PTR and am loving all your organisational skills. Your planning folder is great - as others have said may have to steal a few ideas (if you don't mind) for our September trip.

Totally get the DBF not wanting to know anything until near the trip and think the book that you got created is a great idea :thumbsup2 Before I found DIS boards I was totally annoying my partner with our trip plans but now I can just post on here

Good luck with the 5k! Hope you manage to book the Wishes Dessert Party.

Thank you for sharing your past pictures of Disney...having never been it's great to see the world through others experiences. :yay: on it being 100 days until you go!!! :dance3:

:cool1: :dance3: :cool1:
Not too far from now we'll all be jealous you are there. :thumbsup2

I'm so excited. Hopefully I can contain myself until then

Of course I don't mind! The DIS is definitely my outlet too. Now I don't have to talk to DBF about Disney every single day  I know he's happy about that one. And congrats on your first trip coming up! You're going to have so much fun. :)

As I mentioned before, as a part of me getting in shape I was going to do the Louisville Triple Crown of Running. Well, my first race was this past Saturday. The race was called the Anthem 5k Fitness Classic and its 3.1 miles. I have been running at least 3 days a week for the last month to prepare and since I'm not really a runner, I didn't have high expectations but I wanted to finish in 45 minutes or less.
There were at least 10,000 people there. I'm supposed to be getting pictures e-mailed to me but until they're up here is a photo from the website.

I started off really well and ran the 1st mile in about 9 minutes. After a while though I started to get a cramp so that slowed me down, but I was able to pick it back up and I finished with a time of 33:54! I was very excited and I loved the race. My next one is in two weeks and its a 10k, so 6.2 miles. I hope that one goes well too!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your binder and tip envelopes!!! So clever!
I *thought* I was totally organized and all, but you for sure have me beat! I need to make a binder!! :goodvibes

:cheer2: That is wonderful Ashley!!! :cheer2: Congratulations on making it in that time, you are an inspiration!! :cheer2:
There were a lot of people running there. I always have this fear of tumbling over everyone at the start. lol
Best of luck to you on the 10K. You will do fantastically I am sure!! :thumbsup2

Congratulations on finishing the 5k within your allocated time, especially as you had cramps as well!! :cheer2: :dance3:

Good luck in the 10k one - am sure you will do fine.

Welcome! :) I would definitely reccommend making a binder. I have all of my stuff in one place. Plus its fun to make and it will give you something to do before your trip. And be sure to check on the DISigns board. They have so many cool desigins and ideas for things to make for your trip!

Thank you so much! I actually thought about how everyone was going to start the race lol, but they had the runners in the front and the walkers in the back. It was all very civilized :rotfl:

Thank for the support! The 10k will be more difficult and tiring but I'll do my best! :)
