Yup....
We booked a spa package online...I reserved a Non-smoking room with a King bed. There was a special requests box, so I put "Anniversary Trip...Quiet location, please."
I went to check in, and the lady at the front desk says..."Oh It's your Anniversary! Let me see what we can do..." I got excited. Our room wasn't ready...she told us to come back in a few hrs.
We come back, get our keys and head to the room. It was a HUGE room... King Size bed, Sitting area with a Sofa and table and 2 chairs, huge closet/dressing area leading to a huge bathroom with a big shower.
We had 2 large picture windows, so we opened our shades to see the view...It was the lobby and casino

We were kinda disappointed, but the room was huge and the lady at the front desk seemed excited to give us a "nice" room, so I didn't have the heart to go down to the front desk and see if we could switch (that and the line was a mile long and we were exhausted) We took a nap, and then decided to take showers and get ready for dinner....at which point we discovered that we had an "accessible" room, and if you weren't in a wheelchair, you needed to be under 4'5" to use the shower. We each managed to get out showers and headed out to dinner. Came back from Dinner and watched TV for a bit. When we turned off the TV, we discovered that you could hear the lobby music and the Ding, ding ding from the casino...all night long.
Hopefully we'll have a little better luck in Disney.
ITA with those...If you can't get into any of those, try Garden Grill at Epcot..they have Chip, Dale and Mickey...it is usually pretty easy to get into since it doesn't have as many characters. Just be aware that it is a revolving restaurant, so if you have motion issues, it might not be a good choice.
We have always liked Kona Cafe in the Polynesian
and 50's Prime Time cafe in the Studios too.
