:cool1:Graduation/18th Birthday Pre-Trip Report:cool1:

Disney143.jpg

First off, welcome. I have never written a Trip Report or a pre-trip before so bear with me. Let’s start out with the basics. My mom has been taking me and my brother to Disney since I was 5 years old. I have spent many birthdays swimming in the All-Star pools, eating breakfast with Winnie the Pooh and dinner with Cinderella herself. Disney world is the most magical place in the world for me, and has become one of me and my mom’s favorite things to do together. This trip will be taking place from either a) June 7-10 OR b) June 21-24. We have had annual passes for the past year, and they expire June 24th. Their will be more on that later though. Without further ado, here are some introductions to the cast.

Cinderella (Me): Like I said before I have been going to Disney since I was 5 years old. I do not remember much from those trips, but my mom took me and my little brother almost monthly from 1995-2000 I am now turning 18 on June 23, 2009. Part of this trip is to celebrate the fact that my mom was able to put up with me for all those years:lmao:. Another part of this trip is to celebrate my graduation from high school. My last day of school will be on May 27, 2009. I will be graduating at 8:30 a.m. June 4, 2009 I have been accepted to the University of Central Florida and starting in the fall. I will be majoring in Hospitality Management, with a focus on hotel management. I hope to be running one of those glorious convention center hotels in Orlando one day, or even possibly a Disney hotel. :goodvibes My favorite ride is Splash Mountain, and my favorite character is goofy <3.

Belle(My Mom): My mom is the one who introduced (and brainwashed ha-ha) me into liking Disney so much. She has been going to Disney World since it first opened in 1971. She went during one of its first months of operation, and I am extremely jealous that she got to witness this. She has always had a love for theme parks, and even worked at one as a part time job in college. She is now recently a 9th grade English teacher. She taught 8th grade for almost twenty years before moving up to high school two years ago. She will remain without an age, as I am pretty sure she does not want me disclosing that on here ha-ha. Overall to me she is one of the BEST moms I could ever ask for, and has given me so many opportunities to succeed in life. When I become a parent, I want to be able to implement all of her ideals and methods on my own children. She is truly one of my best friends that I can tell anything to, and I love her very much. Her favorite ride is Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and her favorite character is Pooh.

Donald (My Brother): Well my brother is the typical 15 year old boy. He has grown out of Disney at the moment, and although he does have an AP, he never comes. He would much rather stay home and hang out with friends or play on his x-box. I am not sure he will be joining us on this trip, but since it will be summer and not a weekend he might spare a few days to hang out with his mom and sister. He loves all things baseball, and like my whole family is a Rays fan. We have been since the beginning, as we live in that area. His favorite ride is RnR, and I am not sure of his favorite character.

Not Attending
Beast(My Dad): Let’s just say he is not a fan of getting up early, hanging out in the heat with thousands of strangers, and then spend a lot of money to do so. Disney is definitely not his thing, and he has a job that requires him to stay home and work most of the time we go. I don’t think he minds though, as like I said he is not a fan of Disney. He came a couple of times when I was younger, but now that me and my brother are too old to be “cute” at Disney he has lost interest ha-ha. His favorite ride is possibly splash mountain, and I don’t even think he has a favorite character.

Coming up: Where we are staying, and what the rough plan is.

Signing on for more. Congrats on your college acceptance. Looking forward to reading about your upcoming trip.

Just found this PTR! I'll be there June 22-July 1 so part of our trips will overlap if you go June 21-24!

Thank you so much, I am so excited to be starting college. I am happy now, your my first reader :goodvibes. I thought nobody would read this thing haha.

That is so exciting that we might be there the same time. Either way I will be going at least on June 23, because thats my birthday and I want the $75 gift card haha. Thanks for reading :)

:banana:We are OFFICIALLY staying at Pop Century June 21-24:banana:

I am pretty excited. I clarified with my mom today, and she will be taking a break from her summer class that week so we can go to Disney! I am so excited that it is for sure happening now. I usually go over once a month, since I am only two hours away. Like I am going either this sunday or monday for the day, but we never get to stay for prolonged periods of time. I can't wait to plan it. That's the only update I have so far.

Coming Soon: Day 1 plans, and what ADR's I managed to get a hold of in the middle of June.

Woo Hoo! You need to go over to the countdown boards and post on my Pop Century Countdown What Are You Celebrating thread!

Just found this PTR...I'm on board. Even though we aren't going to Disney this year I am still going to follow this. Congrats on graduating HS and getting accepted to Central Florida :)

Thank you so much, I can't wait to get my diploma and move on to college. I am glad you will join me for this trip, it might be my last one until I get out of college, I don't know what I am going to do. I am sorry you were not able to make it out this year though, but that will make next time even more magical :wizard:.

So, I knew I shouldn't have said "officially" without ACTUALLY booking yet. It was official from my mom, but apparently the 23-24th night is COMPLETELY booked everywhere. It was fine for the 21-23, but the night of the 23rd was out of the question. I guess everyone wants to be there on my brithday :). So NEW plan. We are still staying at Pop, but from June 7-10. This will be the week right after my graduation, and before both me and my mom's birthday. We are still going to wear our pins to hear all the cast memebers say Happy Birthday :rotfl:.

I just booked it right now, so this is the "official" plan haha. We also got a good summer rate for passholders. It seems like it will be less crowded this week, almost every hotel still had rooms, as on the other week their was only a select few. Plus, ITS CLOSER! haha. I will still head over on my own on the 23rd to use my birthday gift card, and probably spend even more haha.

I am off to school for now, 3 days left of school!

Day 1 Plans

Well, I am plan on getting up around 5:00 showering, last minute packing ect. I want to be in the car leaving around 5:30ish. I will be driving, so that should be no problem for my mom. It is around a 1 1/2 hour drive. We will stop at hardee's in Lakeland for breakfast. I hope to arrive at Pop Century around 7:00. Be checked in, (obviously the room will not be ready,) and then take the bus over to Epcot for rope drop. Head straight to Soarin, get FP for later, then ride. Head over to TT and MS, and get those out of the way. Then do Ellen's adventure since my mom LOVES that ride. Maybe get a FP for TT for later. Walk through innoventions, see what is new to do in there. Lunch will be at The Electric Umbrella. I was not able to get ahold of any GOOD reservations this trip, thats okay, CS is good for me and my mom :). Then we will use our Soarin FP, and possibly get another for that night. We will do Nemo, and MAYBE figment. Figment is not a priority, but it still can be cute. We will do Space ship earth on our way out. I hope to be back at the hotel, with FP for Soarin and TT, at 2:00p.m.

Then we will swim, take a long nap since we got up so early, and just relax. Favorite part of the day :goodvibes. After resting up we will head to the Pop Food Court, and get some quick dinner. I hope to be back at the park by 6. We will use our FP for Soarin and TT, then just wander around the World Showcase. We have seen all the movies before, and honestly they do nothing for us haha. We might head over to the American Adventure and watch that movie since my Uncle(Mom's brother) is in the air force and she likes watching it because of that. Then at 9:00 is illuminations. I have never seen this before, so I made sure to fit it in this trip. After Illuminations it is EMH at Magic Kingdom. If we feel up to it we might catch the monorail over to their and hit up some fantasy land/little kid rides and get them out of the way while the kids all head back to sleep. Then we will head back to sleep.
